Accounting & Administration Manager

Schedule: Monday–Friday | 9:00 AM–5:30 PM
Salary: $100,000–$115,000 per year
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Administrative & Accounting Manager to lead the administrative and accounting functions of our growing company.
This is a highly visible leadership position reporting directly to the CEO. You will oversee the day-to-day accounting operations while supervising a small team consisting of a Accounting and Administrative Assistant and an HR Associate. You will ensure financial accuracy, improve administrative processes, and help build scalable systems to support our continued growth.

Key Responsibilities
Accounting & Finance

Oversee day-to-day accounting operations

Review journal entries, reconciliations, and month-end close

Supervise accounts payable and accounts receivable

Monitor cash flow and assist with treasury management

Prepare financial reports and management dashboards

Ensure accurate payroll accounting and reconciliation

Ensure the timely and accurate preparation and filing of sales and use tax returns and all other applicable tax filings

Coordinate with external CPA firms for tax filings and year-end reporting

Maintain compliance with accounting standards and internal controls

Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and automation
Leadership & Team Management

Supervise, mentor, and develop the Accounting and Administrative Assistant

Supervise the HR Associate

Establish priorities and workflows for the administrative team

Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement
Administrative Operations

Oversee office administration

Improve administrative procedures and documentation

Ensure company records are organized and maintained

Support insurance renewals, licenses, permits, and compliance activities

Assist with vendor management and contract administration
HR Support
Working closely with the HR Associate, provide oversight for:

Recruiting support

HR compliance and personnel records
What We're Looking For
Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
-
5+ years of accounting experience
-
2+ years of experience supervising employees
-
Strong knowledge of GAAP and accounting best practices

Experience with QuickBooks Online or similar accounting software
-
Advanced Excel skills
-
Excellent organizational and analytical skills

Strong written and verbal communication
-
High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
Preferred Qualifications

Experience managing payroll
-
Experience working with external auditors and tax advisors

Experience improving accounting systems and business processes

Knowledge of HR administration is a plus

Experience in retail, food service, manufacturing, or multi-location operations
