Position Title: Tax Manager (Partner Track)

Ready to take the final step from Tax Manager to Partner? We're partnering with a highly respected public accounting firm seeking an experienced Tax Manager to join its leadership team with a defined path to Partnership. This is a rare opportunity to step into a succession plan within an established practice known for long-term client relationships, collaborative leadership, and exceptional employee retention.

This role is ideal for an experienced CPA who enjoys advising clients, mentoring staff, and helping shape the future of a successful tax-focused firm.

This position offers a unique opportunity for a dedicated professional to advance rapidly within a respected CPA firm. The role focuses on managing complex tax engagements while fostering strong client relationships. Individuals interested in becoming partners within a year will find this environment particularly conducive to their career aspirations. The firm values a balanced work-life dynamic, providing flexibility even during peak seasons. Candidates will engage with a diverse client base, including small to mid-sized businesses, and will be supported in their professional growth.

Salary Range: $140,000-$180,000 DOE

Responsibilities:

Prepare and review complex individual, trust, partnership, and business tax returns
Lead tax planning engagements and provide strategic recommendations to clients
Manage client relationships and serve as a trusted advisor
Review work prepared by junior accountants and provide mentorship
Identify tax-saving opportunities and proactively advise clients
Handle complex tax research and compliance matters
Support firm growth through strong client service and relationship management
Take ownership of client engagements and contribute to team development

Requirements:

8-10+ years of public accounting experience is required
Strong experience preparing tax returns is required
Desire to become partner within 1 year is required
Bachelor's degree is required
CPA certification is required
Proficiency in Word and Outlook is required
Experience in public accounting is required
Experience with additional software is preferred
