Medical Billing Specialist (Full-Time – In Person or Hybrid)

Ready to take ownership of billing in a fast-paced specialist practice where your accuracy and expertise truly matter? Join the team at Lake Jackson ENT & MedSpa where you will play a key role in ensuring a smooth financial experience for both the practice and its patients.

We are seeking a Full-Time, Medical Billing Specialist (a hybrid schedule of coming into the office on Tuesdays and Thursdays weekly will also be considered) with a strong background in medical office billing to support a busy specialty clinic. This role is ideal for someone experienced who enjoys problem-solving, maintaining accuracy, and working collaboratively while independently managing responsibilities. You will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy of claims, supporting the full billing cycle, and helping patients navigate their financial responsibilities with professionalism and compassion.

What You’ll Do

Post and verify charges to ensure complete accuracy
Manage key aspects of the full billing cycle, including claims submission and follow-up
Apply knowledge of insurance protocols, including modifiers, bundling, and procedure sequencing
Review and post payments while identifying denials or discrepancies in coding and reimbursement
Monitor accounts and follow up to resolve claim issues and ensure proper reimbursement
Interpret insurance EOBs and work within claim forms and billing systems
Communicate clearly with patients regarding financial responsibility, maintaining a compassionate and professional approach

What We’re Looking For (Required):

2+ years of medical office billing experience
Strong understanding of the full medical billing cycle
Working knowledge of insurance processes, including coding and reimbursement practices
Experience with TriZetto Provider Solutions
High school diploma or GED
