Primary Duty/Job Statement
The Training Coordinator will create, maintain, update, and assess talent development and training programs by collaborating with SMEs throughout the organization and Luma LMS SMEs. This will include in-person and online facilitation of engaging training programs that are aligned with the organization’s RBS W.A.Y. culture, operations and objectives for providing internal developmental and succession opportunities.
Essential Functions
- Fundamental Training Duties
o Assist in building and maintaining a library of learning and development resources.
o Document training results for reporting to ensure learning goals are met; identify, plan, and implement continuous learning opportunities.
o Applies adult learning principles and practices to meet the needs for differentiated learning.
o Assist with the design and development of learning solutions that best fit learners’ needs in various formats, including online, self-paced, instructor-led, blended, and virtual learning environments.
o Maintain training calendars and rosters for tracking personnel participation and attendance.
o Coordinates logistics for training events including location, training room use (set-up, breakdown, scheduling), equipment/supplies, refreshments, etc.
o Assist with the development of meaningful assessments and evaluate data to determine training success and alignment with company goals.
o Collaborates with the Onboarding Coordinator for necessary updates in the content, design, and learning path construction for New Hires.
o Collaborate with Safety Training Coordinator to create, review, and facilitate training content, materials, and programs.
o Special projects and assignments as needed for HR and upper management, which could include collecting data, preparing and distributing reports, training needs analysis, etc.
o Maintains a high level of integrity, discretion, and professionalism in handling confidential information while engaging people within the organization and with external stakeholders.
o Assist with onboarding needs by providing support when needed.

- Physical/Cognitive Requirements
o While performing the duties of this position, the employee is frequently required to sit, reach, climb, and manipulate objects, office equipment, and electronic devices. Minimum physical exertion.
o Duties involving moving materials up to 10 pounds on a regular basis and up to 20 pounds on occasion.
o Manual dexterity and coordination are required over 75% of the work period consists of operating equipment such as a computer keyboard, mouse, phone and/or similar machines.
o Displays professionalism through sound judgement, initiative, flexibility, and frequent communication.
o Monday – Friday with occasional extended or weekend hours
o Must be flexible to meet training and organizational needs
o Occasional travel, including overnight and out-of-state travel
Preferred Minimum Experience/Education
o Associate’s degree or equivalent years of experience in Human Resources, Training, Learning and Development, Adult Education or a related field required. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent preferred.
o 3 years of experience in onboarding, training, or similar role within an HR or L&D department.
o 2 years of experience working with LMSs and different learning delivery methods
o Experience with presentation software (i.e. Canva, MS PowerPoint, etc.)
o HR, Talent Development, Education, and/or Learning Technology certification a plus
o Passion for supporting people through continuous learning and development efforts
o Advanced level skillset with Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word)
o Excellent presentation, public speaking, organizational, and time management skills
o Resourceful in problem-solving and overcoming roadblocks that hinders learning processes
o Demonstrates significant attention to detail
o Bilingual English/Spanish a plus
