We are currently seeking a professional, energetic, and customer-focused Audiology Assistant to join our growing team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys helping people, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and takes pride in delivering exceptional customer service.

At California Hearing Center, our philosophy is driven by the unique needs of our patients and our unwavering commitment to helping them hear and communicate better. We carefully guide patients through every step of their hearing healthcare journey, ensuring they receive the best solutions to enhance their lifestyle and overall well-being.

Monday – Thursday: 8:30 AM – 5:30 PM
Friday: 8:30 AM – 3:30 PM
Job Requirements:

 One-year clinical experience required

 Must be a Certified Audiology Assistant

Duties

Patient Care:

 Walk in Patients – see walk ins and enter progress notes.

 Prepare devices for pick up, as directed

 See scheduled patients for:

o Earmold fittings

o Device failures and cleaning

o Orientation portion of patient fittings

o Annual Evaluation Testing assistance

Opening & Closing:

Daily:

 Prepare sound room for patients (e.g., lights, fan etc.)

 Back Lab: New counter drape and other daily infection control

 Infection Control - all procedures per CHC Infection Control Plan

 Front lab: Clean & disinfect counters

 Back lab: Clean & disinfect counters

 Instruments: Sterilize

 Ultrasonic Cleaners: change solution, per Infection Control Plan

 Sterilization container: change solutions, per Infection Control Plan

Weekly:

 Sound room: Turn on/off Audio Star Pro & TympStar Pro

 Fitting 1, 0, 2 & 3: Turn on/off Verifit equipment

 Restock fitting rooms, front lab & back lab with supplies

Stock/Inventory

 Manage stock inventory of all hearing devices

 Place inventory orders, as directed

 Manage Lyric Inventory. Contact manufacturer, as needed.

 Domes: - order, restock bins in front cabinet, as needed and refill display wall, as needed

 Wax Guards / Filters: Order, restock bins in front cabinet, as needed and refill display wall, as

needed

 Speaker Unit Inventory

 Manage inventory & restock bins, as needed.

 Manage in-warranty speak unit replacement with manufacturer.

 Office Supply Orders

Shipping & Receiving:

 Ship & Receive Items

 Patient schedule - confirm items ordered are received on time

 Enter manufacturer invoices into CounselEar

 Assist in managing "Orders" in CounselEar

 Prepare bins for patients (EMF, HDR, etc.)

 Prepare HDF bags for patients

 Prepare repairs for audiologists' review

 Charge rechargeable devices

Fitting Rooms: Weekly

 Restock with supplies (e.g., gauze squares, oto blocks, impression material, tips, etc.)

 Restock with business cards, appointment cards, etc.

 Restock with forms (e.g., Purchase Agreements, etc.)

 Front/ALDS Room:

 Widex items: reorder as needed.

 Oticon Items: reorder as needed.

Sound Room: Weekly

 Restock Supplies, immittance tips, otoscope charging.

 Disinfect immittance tips.

 Charge Otoscope

Loaned & Demo Devices:

 Manage & track down

Additional Responsibilities:

Software Updates:

 Noah Modules, update PCs, as directed

 Audioscan Equipment - update software, as directed.

White Board:

 Manage and Update White Board, as needed

Office & IOI-HA Questionnaires:

 Tally results in Excel

 Post testimonials to Website, as requested

Front Desk Support:

 Answer phones

 Schedule patients

 Check out patients leaving and take payments
Miscellaneous:

 Assist posts to office Facebook page

 Assist in patient email sign up for 5 Keys Communication

 Charge iPhone weekly

 Charge iPad weekly and replace up front

 Scan charts as needed

 Check brochure rack weekly & restock as needed

 Order, label, re-stock brochures as needed
