Machinist Operator Wanted

Job Description AWS Inc. is seeking a skilled, hard-working and highly motivated CNC Mill / Lathe Set Up Operator to join our team of manufacturing professionals. We are currently looking for Level 1 or Level 2 Machinists. AWS designs and manufactures our own product line. We primarily do production short runs with frequent set-up changes but will also do longer production inventory restocking runs.

JOB TITLE: Day Shift CNC Machinist Operator

The Position is currently open with an immediate need.

General Summary

Set up and operate CNC vertical mills/Lathes and run parts according to engineering drawings.
Minimum 1+ years of experience in set up and operating Vertical mills/lathes with Haas Controls is preferred.
Must be willing to work all shifts and weekends when needed.
Materials: stainless steel, steel, aluminum, delrin, bronze.

DETAILS OF FUNCTION

Must be able to interpret engineering drawings.
Must be able to set-up and operate machines independently.
Must be able to inspect own parts using basic measuring tools.
Well-organized and possess excellent communication skills.
Take pride in workmanship and possess a positive team oriented attitude.
Ability to clean, deburr and polish CNC milled parts with great attention to detail.
Knowledge of all deburring tools -- both machine and hand.
Ability to prepare high precision parts for inspection.
Work independently in a team environment.
Achieve results based on pre-defined priorities & schedule.
Use both Manual and Digital Probes for set-up work.
Able to run multiple machines at once.
Basic knowledge of machine maintenance.
Able to lift up to 50 lbs.

REPORTING

The primary duty is to perform manufacturing work directly related to management policies or general business operation.

Pay is based off experience and is listed as a guideline. Actual pay will be discussed in the interview and is subject to change based off previous job experience and job requirement compatibility.

Pay: $18.00 - $30.00 per hour
