We are currently seeking a part-time Bouldering Instructor to provide services and support to an outside rock wall at a fun corporate company's global headquarters located in Menlo Park, CA.
Responsibilities:

Educate members on the proper use of climbing equipment, safety procedures, and facility features.

Lead or assist with instructional climbing programs, including foundational skills courses and specialty classes.

Continuously monitor participants, climbing activities, and facility areas to ensure compliance with safety standards and best practices.

Address member and guest questions, concerns, feedback, and complaints promptly, professionally, and consistently.

Maintain the cleanliness, organization, and overall presentation of the climbing wall and surrounding areas.

Collaborate with team members and provide operational support across the broader fitness center as needed.

Contribute to a positive member experience by promoting safety, customer service, and a strong climbing community culture.

Foster a welcoming, engaging, and safety-focused environment where climbers of all skill levels can learn, progress, and connect with the community.
Requirements:
-
Minimum of 6 months of experience in a climbing-related role, or at least 2 years of experience working in an indoor climbing facility and/or as an outdoor climbing guide.

Minimum of 6 months of route-setting experience.
Demonstrated climbing instruction experience, with the ability to teach belaying, lead climbing, and technical movement classes. -
Must have current CPR/AED and First Aid certification.

Proficient in teaching belay, lead climbing and technical movement classes

Experience setting and forerunning V4/5.10

Ability to multi-task, and execute time management and problem-solving skills.

Must be knowledgeable about the industry with the customer skills to network, engage, and interact with all clients, guests, and participants.

Competent with Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook).

Preferred: A current nationally recognized Rock Climbing Certification such as PCIA or AMGA
