A high-profile family in River Oaks is seeking a sophisticated and proactive Estate Manager to steward their Texas property portfolio. This role is designed for an incredibly detail-oriented professional who views a home through the lens of a luxury hospitality manager, ensuring every "Four Seasons" level detail is met before the family ever has to ask. Reporting to the Chief of Staff and collaborating with the out-of-state Estate Manager, you will oversee a 13,000 square foot primary residence (80% of your time), a weekend resort property, and a ranch house. This is an opportunity to join a kind, generous family that treats their long-term staff with immense respect, and seeks a dedicated partner to maintain their homes as true sanctuaries. The ideal candidate possesses an innate ability to spot the smallest flaws, from a stray spiderweb to a flickering light, and resolve them immediately. They balance a meticulous sense of household perfection with a gritty, practical approach to managing large-scale property assets, and are unafraid to dive into the technical and physically demanding aspects of estate care. You will maintain all residences and equipment in pristine, fully operational condition through proactive oversight and preventative care. This role requires a leader who anticipates issues before they arise and sees things through the meticulous eye of the owners, ensuring standards remain constant. As a positive and grateful professional, you show a genuine love for the property and the family. You serve as a perfect cultural fit by balancing empathy with a firm, professional presence and a commitment to absolute excellence. The ideal candidate understands that luxury estate management often requires flexibility, anticipation, and a team-first mentality to support the overall rhythm of family life. Ways You'll Help This Family Thrive:
- Property Stewardship: Maintain the properties in a pristine, meticulous fashion; conduct daily walkthroughs with a critical eye to ensure every system from HVAC units to irrigation valves is functioning perfectly and every aesthetic detail remains flawless
- Vendor and Project Management: Source, vet, and manage high-quality contractors while negotiating fair pricing and holding every service provider accountable to the highest employer standards
- Hospitality and Event Planning: Prepare homes for guest arrivals, coordinate seasonal decor, and manage catered dinners or social events with a high level of professional engagement
- Fleet and Asset Care: Manage a collection of vehicles and ATVs to ensure they are always fueled, detailed, registered, and maintained in pristine condition for immediate use
- Staff Leadership: Supervise vendors, housekeepers, and nanny to provide the guidance necessary to maintain standards while proactively identifying when staffing levels or hours need adjustment
- Financial Stewardship: Provide cost-conscious recommendations for household expenses to ensure the family receives the best value without compromising on quality
- Administrative Oversight: Utilize digital property management tools to maintain manuals, warranties, and maintenance logs while diligently managing household budgets and inventory

What Makes You a Wonderful Match:
- Relevant Professional Background: You bring significant experience as a high-end Estate Manager, Household Manager, Personal Assistant, or luxury Wedding Planner with a proven track record of managing complex schedules and environments
- Exceptional Attention to Detail: You naturally notice the small things, like a dead plant, a flickering lightbulb, a spiderweb over a grill, low bicycle tires, or a leaky irrigation valve, and feel a personal drive to correct them proactively; you get to know your employer to ensure that personal details are not missed, such as keeping kitchens stocked with their favorite items and essentials, preferred florals are purchased and arranged, appliances are functioning, and amenities are all in working condition at any given time so the family can enjoy their time together without being sidetracked
- Professional and Poised: You carry yourself with high emotional intelligence, reading the room to know when to engage and when to provide the family and/or guests with privacy
- Technically Savvy: You are comfortable managing smart home systems, security, and automated irrigation (it's a plus if you have a background in construction or high-end facilities)
- Hospitality Mindset: You find joy in service and take pride in creating a hospitable environment, often thinking three steps ahead of the family’s schedule (for example, noticing they are going on a ski trip and making sure they have appropriate clothing and gear, or packing a healthy meal for their travels)
- Strong Negotiator and Cost Conscious: You maintain a cost-conscious mindset across all responsibilities, from negotiating major repairs and vetting new hires to everyday purchases like flowers and wardrobe essentials, ensuring the family receives the best value without compromising on quality
- Loyal and Positive: You maintain a posture of gratitude and excitement for your work, and are seeking a long-term home with a loyal employer
- Local Travel: You are happy to travel once a week to the outlying properties (45-60 minutes away) to ensure they remain in a state of constant readiness
- Trustworthy and Discreet: You operate with absolute discretion and integrity, earning the trust required to manage a private estate and its assets
- Flexible and Adaptable: You remain versatile with your schedule and duties to meet the evolving needs of a busy household
- Physically Active: You stay physically active and willing to be hands-on whether that means checking a mechanical room or personally inspecting every corner of the grounds (Plus, but not required: able to make minor repairs yourself)
