Job Summary
Responsible for service call troubleshooting and the installation, repair and maintenance of electrical systems. Ability to read blueprints, troubleshoot / solve electrical problems. Assist in running a small project when necessary and completing daily service call requests assigned by the Service Call Manager. Mid-Level Service Call Electricians are expected to have a wide range of experience including troubleshooting, good communication skills, panel installation, transformers and underground installation.
Duties and Responsibilities (Including but not limited to)
- Begin work at various times
- Perform overtime and weekend work when necessary
- Respond to emergency calls when necessary
- Maintain a clean appearance
- Interact with customers, including tenants and property management
- Prepare post service call reports
- Work on-site at job locations
- Responsible for installing and maintaining the electrical devices in commercial buildings
- Install and repair electrical wiring, systems, and fixtures in buildings
- Install conduits and pipes to electrical wires and cables, circuit breakers and other electrical hardware and connect wiring to them in compliance with NEC standards
- Determine and perform the steps necessary to assess an electrical situation using testing devices, blueprints and maps
- Maintain a safe work environment by adhering to all company guidelines and OSHA safety requirements and report violations of policies, procedures and guidelines to Field Supervisor
- Use ladders, scaffolding, platform and lifts to work on electrical systems in commercial properties
- Maintain equipment and perform safety checks to ensure it is in good condition and can operate or be used safely
- Ability to lay out projects and direct Apprentices to accomplish tasks
- Ability to lift a minimum of fifty (50) pounds, stand on a ladder and on your feet for an extended period
- Performing physical activities that require considerable use of your arms and legs and moving your whole body, such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping and handling materials
- Attend or direct weekly Safety Meetings on-site every Monday and sign the attendance sheets
- Developing and maintaining constructive and cooperative working relationships with others
- Ability to dig
- Good organizational skills and cleaning job sites at the end of each day’s shift
- Willingness to work overtime when required
- Ability to perform non-electrical work (i.e., move furniture, re-work T-bar and framing)
Qualifications / Educational and professional requirements
- 6-8 years of electrical experience (preferably in the service call division)
- Requires a high school diploma
- Compliant with certification’s legally required to be an electrician by having a valid General Electrician (GE) card or, at minimum, an Electrician Trainee (ET) card
- Proficiency with the National Electrical Code and local codes
- A recognized apprenticeship program may be associated with these occupations

Computer Skills
- Beginners experience preferred
Operating a Company Vehicle
- Valid driver’s license
- No SR-22 insurance
- Immediately notify the Human Resources Department in any change of status to your driver’s license
- Always comply with the signed Company Vehicle Agreement
- Potential of driving in the company vehicle for up to eight (8) hours a day
Pay: $30.00 - $36.00 per hour
