Job Overview
Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Certified Pharmacy Technician, where your expertise will play a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care and ensuring pharmaceutical accuracy. Duties
Assist pharmacists with medication preparation, including sterile IV infusion and aseptic technique procedures to ensure safe and accurate drug delivery.
Perform pharmaceutical calculations accurately for medication dosages, compounding medications, and drug administration in accordance with hospital and pharmacy protocols.
Manage data entry tasks within pharmacy software systems, ensuring all patient information, medication orders, and inventory records are precise and up-to-date.
Support patient service initiatives by providing medication information, answering queries, and maintaining confidentiality of sensitive health data.
Ensure compliance with state healthcare regulations, federal pharmacy laws, and pharmaceutical regulatory standards through meticulous documentation and adherence to procedures.
Participate in drug regulation activities such as inventory management, drug expiration monitoring, and sterile IV admixture procedures.
Contribute to hospital or community pharmacy operations by assisting with intake processes, medication reconciliation, and patient care activities related to pharmacological medical terminology.

Experience
Previous experience working in LTC (Long-Term Care) pharmacy or hospital pharmacy environments is highly desirable.
Demonstrated critical care experience or acute care exposure enhances your ability to thrive in complex clinical settings requiring quick decision-making.
Familiarity with pharmacy software systems, medical terminology, pharmaceutical calculations, and drug regulation is essential for success in this role.
Hands-on experience with IV compounding, sterile IV admixture procedures, aseptic technique, and maintaining patient confidentiality is preferred.
A background in community pharmacy or hospital pharmacy combined with knowledge of state and federal pharmacy laws will support your ability to deliver excellent patient care.
Certification as a Pharmacy Technician from an accredited program is required; Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is a plus.
Strong customer service skills and the ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary healthcare teams are key attributes for this position.
