Job Description:
Zimmerer Kubota & Equipment of Gainesville is seeking a hardworking and detail-oriented Rental Prep Associate to join our rental team. This role is essential to keeping our growing rental fleet clean, safe, and ready to go out the door. Key Responsibilities:
- Inspect, clean, and prepare rental equipment (tractors, excavators, utility vehicles, mowers, and other equipment) before and after each rental
- Perform basic maintenance tasks such as fluid checks, greasing, filter changes, and minor repairs to keep equipment rental-ready
- Identify and report mechanical issues or damage to the Service or Rental Manager for follow-up
- Load, unload, and position equipment safely using forklifts, trailers, and other yard equipment
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe rental yard and shop area
- Assist with equipment pickup and delivery as needed
- Keep accurate records of equipment condition, maintenance performed, and hours/mileage
- Communicate with the rental coordinator team to ensure equipment availability aligns with the rental schedule
Qualifications:
- Previous experience with mechanical equipment, small engines, or heavy equipment preferred
- Ability to safely operate forklifts, tractors, and other yard equipment (training provided if needed)
- Strong attention to detail and pride in equipment appearance and function
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Valid driver's license required; CDL a plus but not required
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
