Full Job Description

Job Overview
FiCare Federal Credit Union is seeking a dedicated and personable Member Services Partners to join our team. As a Member Services Partner (MSP), you will be assisting FiCare FCU in fulfilling its mission of “Helping healthcare professionals and their families achieve their life needs, desires, and dreams by providing financial expertise, education, quality products, exceptional service, and personal care that goes beyond the expected, every day.

As an MSP, you will serve as the primary point of contact for our members, providing exceptional customer support and ensuring a positive member experience. Member Services Partners assist members with various types of transactions, examining checks, referring credit union products and services, and balancing their cash drawer each day. You will interact with members face-to-face, via phone, or chat/email in a fast-paced environment and are responsible for meeting their requests. Member Service Partners are proactive in referring FiCare FCU products & services to every member to enhance their financial wellbeing.

The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, be multilingual or bilingual in English and other languages, and have experience in customer services or call center environments. This position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment where your interpersonal skills and attention to detail will make a meaningful impact on our members' satisfaction.

Position accountabilities:

Deliver Exceptional Member Service - Provide personalized, high-quality service to all credit union members. Accurately process a wide range of financial transactions, including deposits, withdrawals, transfers, check cashing, loan and credit card payments, cash advances, and official checks, etc., in accordance with credit union policies and procedures.
Drive Sales and Product Awareness - Actively promote and cross-sell credit union products and services that align with members’ financial goals. Demonstrate strong product knowledge, identify opportunities, address objections, and recommend solutions that improve members’ financial well-being.
Ensure Transaction Integrity and Compliance - Examine checks for proper endorsement and negotiability. Determine fund availability in compliance with regulations and internal policies. Appropriately place holds on uncollected funds and issue required documentation. Process mail and night deposit transactions daily with accuracy and timeliness.
Maintain Confidentiality and Security - Safeguard all member information and account records. Ensure all interactions and transactions are handled with the highest level of confidentiality and professionalism.
Resolve Member Issues - Assist members in resolving account discrepancies, statement questions, and service concerns with patience, accuracy, and a solutions-oriented approach. Conduct outbound calling to follow up on member inquiries or promote services as needed.
Comply with Policies and Regulatory Standards - Adhere to all credit union policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements. Participate in required training and demonstrate the application of learned knowledge in daily responsibilities.
Promote Teamwork and a Positive Work Environment - Collaborate effectively with team members to achieve branch goals and support daily operations. Exhibit a positive attitude and a cooperative spirit in all interactions.

Minimum Qualifications and Experience:

Energetic and personable, with the ability to confidently engage members in meaningful conversations to uncover needs through active listening and thoughtful questioning.
Must possess a strong customer service focus and demonstrate a high level of professionalism and empathy in all interactions. Skilled in managing sensitive or confidential situations with discretion and care.
Excellent verbal and written communication abilities, with polished, professional phone etiquette and active listening skills. Capable of conveying information clearly and professionally across various communication tools and platforms.
Solid understanding of credit union and banking products and services, with the ability to clearly explain features and recommend appropriate solutions based on member needs.
Familiarity with key federal banking regulations and compliance requirements, including: Bank Secrecy Act (BSA), Right to Financial Privacy Act. Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act (GLBA – Privacy), Truth in Savings Act, Regulation CC (Funds Availability) and Regulation E (Electronic Fund Transfers)
Highly organized with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks, manage time efficiently, and maintain accuracy in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
Experience with data entry, analysis skills, and cash handling is a plus
Proficient in Microsoft Windows 10 and related applications, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams. Experienced with office equipment such as multi-line phone systems, printers, scanners, and other standard business tools.
Outbound calling experience and familiarity with call center operations preferred
Ability to work well independently as well as part of a team
High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education or training in customer service is a plus

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
