Role Summary
The Technical Recruiter II is an experienced recruiting professional who will serve as a subject-matter expert within our dynamic team, driving talent acquisition through a multifaceted, marketing-based approach with a specific emphasis on the skilled trades and gig economy.
The primary responsibility of the Technical Recruiter II is to identify and develop high-quality, professional independent contractor candidates and partners with a primary emphasis on the Trades (electrical, HVAC, plumbing, construction, and related disciplines) and Gig Workforce, complemented by recruiting across Enterprise IT, Medical Device Support, and Industrial Automation markets. This role requires a seasoned recruiter who can independently own the full recruitment lifecycle across all verticals, mentor junior team members, and build scalable sourcing pipelines for on-demand and project-based technician workforces. The Technical Recruiter II will identify strategic Field Engineer needs and champion a team culture of excellence while maintaining strong relationships with candidates and the Source team.
As a Technical Recruiter II, you will be a lead contributor in sourcing and engaging skilled trades professionals, IT Technicians, Med Tech Technicians, Industrial Automation Technicians, and General Field Service Workers — including electricians, HVAC technicians, plumbers, and other field-based contractors. You’ll leverage your deep knowledge of trades labor markets, gig workers and gig workforce platforms to build a robust pipeline of on-demand talent, guide candidates through Source’s recruitment process, and ensure alignment with Source’s service excellence standards. Recruiting, retaining, and growing our trades and gig workforce network will be the central focus of this role.
Key Responsibilities
- Source and Engage Candidates: Identify and recruit high-quality skilled trades professionals (electricians, HVAC, plumbing, construction, and related fields) and gig economy technicians as the primary focus, with additional recruiting across Enterprise IT, Medical Device Support, and
- Industrial Automation markets.
- Pipeline Development: Collaborate with the technical recruitment group (TRG) and marketing teams to build a robust pipeline of candidates.
- Strategic Planning: Participate in strategic planning sessions to develop long-term recruitment strategies and goals.
- Sourcing Strategies: Leverage trade-specific platforms Gig Economy workforce apps, and targeted networking to identify and recruit highly skilled independent trades professionals and field engineers.
- Timely Recruitment: Ensure recruitment meets project demands and service level agreements.
- Compliance: Ensure all recruitment activities comply with relevant laws, regulations, and company policies.
- Technician Recruitment and Retention: Recruit and retain technicians, ensuring they meet Source’s high standards for service delivery.
- Candidate Guidance: Lead candidates through the recruitment process, ensuring they understand and align with Source’s culture and service excellence.
- Geographic Expansion: Recruit technicians in new locations, working with international partners to identify and certify technicians.
- Platform Utilization: Utilize platforms like WorkMarket and Hubspot to streamline communication, assignment details, and payment processes.
- Documentation Maintenance: Maintain accurate and well-ordered documentation on all candidates, searches, and recruiting activities for audit purposes utilizing Source Support systems (e.g. Source Central).
- Performance Metrics: Monitor and analyze recruitment performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement necessary changes.
- Relationship Management: Develop and maintain relationships with Source Techworks' network of certified technical support resources. This includes a cadence of phone calls or emails to ensure FEs are still active and communicating new opportunities.
- International Relations: Strengthen relationships with international partners to support recruitment efforts.
- Collaboration with Management: Work closely with Source management to ensure recruitment needs align company, customer, and field engineer partner requirements.
- Team Partnership: Develop strong working relationships with Training/Quality and other teams to foster success, predictable results, Quality improvements and credibility.
- Behavioral-Based Interviews: Conduct interviews to assess candidates' technical and soft skills and determine if they are a cultural fit.
- Project Support: Assist with department projects and recruitment strategy improvements.
- Marketing Automation: Use platforms, such as Hubspot, for automated emails, scheduling meetings, and communicating with field engineers.
- Additional Duties: Perform other duties as required to support the recruitment team and company objectives.
- Mentorship and Training: Provide mentorship and training to junior recruiters and other departments, sharing best practices and helping them develop their skills.
Education & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 4 years of full-cycle recruiting experience in a corporate or agency setting, with demonstrated progression to a senior or lead recruiter role.
- Proven ability to source, interview, and place quality candidates specifically within the skilled trades (electrical, HVAC, plumbing, construction) and gig economy workforce
- Strong ability to work independently and collaborate within a team.
- Strong ability to build and maintain relationships with candidates and internal teams.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills and time management skills.
Other Skills & Abilities
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 productivity tools (e.g., Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and Salesforce CRM
- Proficient in using recruitment platforms, marketing automation tools, and other relevant software (e.g., WorkMarket, Hubspot).
- Experience working in a team-oriented environment
- Ability to think critically and solve problems effectively
- Sales Experience
- Deep expertise in Gig Economy and Trades Recruitment, including familiarity with gig platforms, trades labor markets, licensing/certification requirements, and contractor compliance standards
- Knowledge and Familiarity with A.I. systems and applications

This role will be required to work at the Source Support office in Lawrenceville Georgia.
