ONLINE BANKING SPECIALIST – DOWNTOWN GALVESTON

Online Banking Specialist – JOB # 41 -26

All correspondence must refer to a specific job number.

The Online Banking Specialist will perform centralized duties as related to Online Banking. The specialist will maintain and assist consumer customers with Online Banking, Remote Deposit, Bill Payment, and Person-to-Person Payments; for Treasury Management customers, setups, and assistance with online Treasury products.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Provides assistance to customers, Retail, Treasury Solutions and other banking staff regarding Online Banking products and operational issues.
Sets up and maintains Online Banking customer access for consumer and commercial customers.
Responds to and documents all fraud alerts that relate to customer transactions with Bill Pay, Zelle, and Mobile Deposit.
Review and process new Online Account applications while adhering to Bank policies and procedures.
Reviews and manages Zelle profiles for any fraud transactions, disputes, and reporting as required by management.
Reconcile internal GL accounts related to Online Banking services.
Manages and responds to consumer Mobile Deposit requests and inquiries.
Manage Bill Pay profiles for consumer and business customers.
Prepare periodic reports related to Online Banking and Treasury Management products.
Cross train for various job duties within the department.
Adheres to the Bank’s security and audit procedures as well as industry rules and regulations.
Scan, file, and index documents electronically.

Other Duties as Responsibilities:

perform other duties and special assignments as requested by the Management.

Job Requirements:

Education and Experience:

High School diploma or equivalent required.
2- 3 years of online banking experience and/or related customer service background.

Skills and Abilities: Knowledge of basic bank accounting principles and a general understanding of applicable federal and state bank regulations; Strong knowledge of electronic payment systems and on-line banking products, including but not limited to, consumer and commercial Mobile Deposit, Bill Pay, Online Accounts, and Person-to-Person products, such as Zelle; Working knowledge of bank operations and customer service functions; Treasury Management product knowledge preferred; Strong attention to detail and excellent customer service skills; Strong communication and interpersonal skills; Strong pc skills, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, etc.)
