Full Job Description

Overview

We are seeking an experienced Structural/Civil Engineer (PE) to join a premier engineering team supporting projects at NASA Johnson Space Center . This is an outstanding opportunity for a highly skilled engineer with experience in structural analysis, facility modifications, and building design. If you are passionate about solving complex engineering challenges and want to contribute to mission-critical infrastructure, we'd love to hear from you.

Responsibilities

Design and analyze structural systems for existing facilities and building modifications.
Perform structural calculations and analyses using industry-standard engineering principles.
Prepare engineering reports, structural assessments, and safety documentation.
Develop structural layouts, detailed drawings, and installation plans.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality engineering solutions while meeting project deadlines.

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
Minimum 5 years of structural engineering experience .
Experience with building modifications and structural design.
Working knowledge of design standards such as AISC, ACI, and AWS D1.1 .
Proficiency with RISA-3D, ENERCALC, AutoCAD, Revit, MicroStation, and MathCAD .
Strong communication, organization, and project management skills.

Requirements

U.S. Citizenship is required to obtain a NASA badge.
Must pass a background check and drug screen.
Valid Texas driver's license required.
Ability to communicate effectively in English.
