Battle Born Welding is hiring an experienced structural steel fabricator/welder to build and install the bones of real buildings — beams, columns, and structural frames. This is a hands-on position for a professional who can take a set of prints, fabricate to spec in the shop, and then set that steel in the field. About Us
Battle Born Welding is a structural steel fabrication and installation company based in Gardnerville, Nevada. We fabricate in our shop and install on job sites around the region, traveling in company trucks. We run a tight, professional crew and a four-day schedule: Monday through Thursday, 6:30 AM to 5:00 PM — three-day weekends, every week.
What You'll Do
- Fabricate structural steel beams, columns, and related members to spec in the shop
- Read and interpret structural drawings, shop drawings, and weld symbols — and fabricate accurately from them
- Fit, weld, grind, and finish structural members, and inspect your own welds for quality
- Install structural steel on job sites, including rigging and setting steel with cranes — signaling operators, landing loads, plumbing and bolting up members
- Travel to job sites in company trucks and represent the company professionally in front of GCs and clients
- Work safely, every day — in the shop, on the road, and in the air
What We're Looking For
Required:
- Proven professional experience in structural steel fabrication — beams and columns, not just light gauge or ornamental work
- Strong print reading: structural and shop drawings, weld symbols, dimensions, and tolerances
- Field installation experience setting structural steel with cranes — rigging, signaling, bolting, and plumbing steel
- Solid structural welding skills (flux-core / stick / MIG) with welds that pass inspection
- Valid driver's license and a reliable, safety-first work ethic
Nice to have:
- AWS D1.1 certification or ability to pass a structural weld test
- Forklift, telehandler, or aerial lift experience; rigging/signal person qualification
Schedule
Monday–Thursday, 6:30 AM – 5:00 PM. Enjoy three-day weekends, every week. Based in Gardnerville, NV, with travel to job sites in company trucks.
Pay: $26.35 - $45.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40.0 per week
