Full Job Description

A well-established company in the manufacturing and distribution space is seeking an experienced operations leader to oversee a route-based delivery team and support day-to-day facility performance. This role is ideal for someone who brings hands-on delivery knowledge, strong people leadership, solid organizational habits, and the ability to improve processes while maintaining high service standards. The right candidate will be comfortable managing drivers, supporting warehouse and inventory activity, communicating clearly across teams, and stepping in where needed to keep operations running smoothly. A CDL is required, along with a professional, team-focused approach and a commitment to safety, accountability, and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

Recruit, onboard, coach, and supervise a route delivery team of approximately 10–15 drivers.
Oversee facility inventory and help ensure accurate, organized product flow.
Provide route and delivery support when operational needs require hands-on assistance.
Learn, follow, and reinforce company operating procedures, systems, and workflow standards.
Lead warehouse and facility activity with strong attention to detail, organization, and accountability.
Maintain a valid CDL and meet company requirements for driving history, DMV review, and drug screening.
Represent the business with a friendly, professional presence when working with customers, coworkers, and team members.
Support customer retention and help identify opportunities to develop new customer relationships.
Bring a respectful, solutions-oriented leadership style and a positive approach to daily challenges.
Keep the team engaged, productive, and motivated through consistent communication and follow-up.
Balance business goals with a service-first mindset and a strong work ethic.
Be able to perform physical work as needed, including lifting up to 45 pounds.

Preferred Experience and Qualifications

Minimum of 2 years of management or supervisory experience.
Working knowledge of commercial driving rules, safety expectations, and related compliance practices.
Clear communication skills and the ability to work effectively with customers, drivers, and internal partners.
Prior route delivery or route driving experience.
