About Us:

Venning is a full-service CPA and advisory firm founded in 1978 with offices throughout the US. Venning provides accounting, bookkeeping, tax, assurance, and financial advisory services to individual and corporate clients providing a comprehensive approach to tax and operational complexities. We are seeking a strong administrative professional to help manage a local office and support remote operations.

Job Description:

Responsible for providing administrative support for tax and accounting staff, tax return and financial statement administration, management of electronic tax filing, maintaining data systems, and managing vendor relationships and related purchasing.

About the Ideal Candidate:

We are seeking a self-motivated professional who can learn and adapt quickly through online training modules, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and other available resources, with minimal in-person training. The successful candidate will be able to work independently, take initiative, solve problems proactively, and effectively manage responsibilities with limited supervision.

The ideal candidate is eager to learn new skills, embraces new challenges, and is excited about building strong relationships with clients. They are confident, adaptable, and take ownership of their responsibilities while delivering exceptional client service in a fast-paced, virtual team-oriented environment. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys continuous learning, thrives in a semi-independent setting with limited oversight, and is motivated to grow both personally and professionally.

This individual should have experience coordinating with vendors, managing office supplies, and contributing to a professional and welcoming environment for both clients and team members. Strong organizational, communication, and customer service skills are essential, along with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced office setting while handling conflict resolution seamlessly.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage front desk operations, including greeting clients and answering phone calls.
Oversee tax return processing within our workflow management and status tracking system.
Prepare and organize documents for client meetings and tax filings.
Assist with data entry and maintain accurate client records in our accounting software (ZOHO and CCH).
Handle incoming and outgoing correspondence, including emails and mail.
Support the team with administrative tasks, such as filing, copying, and scanning documents, as well as processing and efiling tax returns.

Qualifications:

Associates degree; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
2-3 years of experience in an administrative or office management position, preferably in an accounting, law, or medical setting.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) is required, and familiarity with accounting software is preferred.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
Ability to prioritize tasks and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
