Ambient Recruiting is partnering with a manufacturing company in Vanderbilt to hire dependable Production Operators for its growing production team. In this role, you'll operate production equipment, inspect parts, package finished products, and support daily manufacturing operations in a fast-paced environment.

What You'll Be Doing
As a Production Operator, you'll:
- Operate production equipment including presses, saws, benders, threaders, and buffers
- Load and secure materials into machines manually or with lifting devices
- Start machines, monitor operations, and adjust controls as needed
- Inspect and measure finished parts to ensure quality standards are met
- File, sand, shape, and clean machined parts
- Package and prepare finished products for shipment
- Read work orders and follow written instructions and production procedures
- Complete required production and quality control paperwork
- Use micrometers, pin gauges, and other measuring and inspection equipment
- Learn machine setup and operation across multiple production areas
- Follow safety procedures and wear required PPE
- Assist with additional production duties as assigned
What We're Looking For
Successful candidates typically have:
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Reliable attendance and a strong work ethic
- Ability to read measuring tools and follow written instructions
- Basic math and reading skills
- Ability to lift and move materials weighing up to 100 pounds
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Willingness to learn new equipment and processes
- Comfort working in a loud manufacturing environment
- Steel-toed boots required
Preferred Qualifications
- 1–2 years of previous manufacturing experience
- Previous machine operation experience
- Experience using micrometers, gauges, or other measuring equipment
- Experience working in a fast-paced production environment

What to Expect
This is a physically active manufacturing position that requires standing for extended periods, repetitive movement, and working around heavy machinery, dust, and loud equipment.
You'll be expected to lift and move materials weighing up to 100 pounds, use measuring equipment, follow detailed work instructions, and adapt to changing production needs.
Steel-toed boots and required PPE must be worn while working.
The ideal candidate is dependable, safety-minded, detail-oriented, and willing to learn. Success in this role comes from maintaining quality, following safety procedures, and working effectively as part of a team.
