About This Job

Join our dedicated healthcare team as a Certified Clinical Medical Assistant. In this vital role, you support physicians and nurses, ensure smooth clinic operations, and provide direct patient care. Job Duties and Responsibilities

As a Certified Clinical Medical Assistant, you perform a wide range of essential tasks that directly influence patient care and clinic efficiency. You manage patient flow, prepare examination rooms, and assist with medical procedures.

Documents all patient interactions, medical histories, and vital information accurately within Electronic Health Records (EHR), ensuring comprehensive and up-to-date patient files.
Performs venipuncture and other Phlebotomy procedures with precision and patient comfort.
Takes and records accurate Vital Signs Monitoring, including blood pressure, pulse, respiration, temperature, and weight, identifying and reporting any abnormalities.
Provides direct Patient Care by preparing patients for examinations, assisting with minor procedures, and offering support and comfort throughout their visit.
Applies accurate Medical Terminology in all documentation and communication, ensuring clarity and professionalism.
Administers Injections safely and correctly as directed by a physician, following all protocols.
Conducts Electrocardiography (EKG) tests, ensuring proper lead placement and accurate readings.
Collects and processes various Specimen Collection samples, adhering to strict labeling and handling guidelines.
Maintains a sterile and safe environment by strictly following Infection Control policies and procedures.
Upholds patient privacy and confidentiality by rigorously adhering to HIPAA Compliance regulations in all aspects of work.
Educates patients on basic health information, treatment plans, and medication instructions.
Manages patient scheduling, referrals, and prescription refills as needed.

Required Qualifications

Education

Possesses a High School Diploma or GED.
Completes an accredited Medical Assistant program.
Holds current Medical Assistant Certification (CMA, RMA, CCMA, or equivalent).

Experience

Brings at least one year of experience in a clinical healthcare setting.

Knowledge/Skills

Demonstrates proficiency in Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems.
Exhibits strong skills in Phlebotomy and venipuncture techniques.
Applies accurate Vital Signs Monitoring and assessment.
Delivers exceptional Patient Care with empathy and professionalism.
Understands and uses comprehensive Medical Terminology.
Performs safe and effective Injections administration.
Executes Electrocardiography (EKG) procedures accurately.
Manages Specimen Collection and processing with attention to detail.
Adheres strictly to Infection Control protocols.

Preferred Qualifications

Holds current Basic Life Support (BLS) or CPR certification.
