Full Job Description

Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Resident Care Specialist to join our team part-time on 2nd shift. This role is essential in providing high-quality care and support to residents in an Assisted Living Care environment. The ideal candidate will have experience in direct care support, medication administration, and memory care, ensuring that residents receive the assistance they need to maintain their dignity and quality of life.

Responsibilities

Provide direct support to residents, assisting with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation.
Administer medications as prescribed and monitor residents for any changes in health or behavior.
Maintain a clean and safe living environment for all residents, ensuring hygiene standards are met.
Assist with mobility needs, including lifting and transferring residents as necessary.
Engage residents in meaningful activities that promote social interaction and cognitive stimulation.
Document care provided and report any concerns or changes in resident conditions to the nursing staff.
Collaborate with team members to develop and implement individualized care plans tailored to each resident's needs.

Qualifications

Previous experience in long-term care settings such as assisted living, nursing homes or personal home care is preferred.
Knowledge of medication administration protocols and best practices in resident care.
Strong communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with residents, families, and staff members.
Compassionate nature with a genuine desire to assist individuals with varying levels of physical and cognitive abilities.
Ability to lift and support residents safely while adhering to proper lifting techniques.
Familiarity with memory care and dementia principles is a plus.
Must be reliable, punctual, and able to work collaboratively within a team-oriented environment.
