Contract Bookkeeper (Remote)

Trinity Home Care Agency | Independent Contractor (1099)

Trinity Home Care Agency is seeking an experienced and reliable Contract Bookkeeper to help maintain accurate financial records, prepare monthly financial reports, and support the financial growth of our agency.

We are looking for a detail-oriented professional who can keep our books organized, provide meaningful financial insight, and work collaboratively with agency leadership and our tax professional. This position is ideal for an experienced bookkeeper who enjoys working with growing small businesses and can operate independently.

Position Details

Independent Contractor (1099)
Remote Position
Approximately 3–6 hours per month
Flat monthly compensation based on experience
Long-term opportunity for the right candidate

Responsibilities

Reconcile business bank and credit card accounts
Accurately categorize income and expenses
Maintain organized and up-to-date financial records
Track business revenue and expenses
Monitor accounts receivable and outstanding balances
Prepare monthly Profit & Loss Statements
Prepare monthly Balance Sheet reports
Identify bookkeeping discrepancies, unusual expenses, and financial concerns
Assist with budgeting and financial planning
Ensure books remain organized and tax-ready throughout the year
Coordinate with the agency's CPA or tax professional as needed
Provide a clear monthly financial summary to agency leadership, including revenue, expenses, profitability, and any areas requiring attention
Conduct weekly email or phone check-ins to discuss questions, missing documentation, or financial concerns
Promptly communicate discrepancies, bookkeeping issues, or items requiring agency review
Attend a monthly virtual meeting with agency leadership to review financial reports and discuss the agency's financial performance
Respond in a timely manner to emails and requests for information
Provide proactive recommendations regarding financial organization, reporting, and bookkeeping best practices
Maintain strict confidentiality of all company financial information

The goal of this position is to maintain accurate financial records throughout the month rather than waiting until month-end to address questions, concerns, or missing information. We are seeking a proactive professional who communicates effectively, works independently, and serves as a trusted financial resource for the agency.

Qualifications

Minimum 3 years of bookkeeping experience
Experience with QuickBooks Online preferred
Experience supporting small businesses
Healthcare or home care industry experience preferred
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Excellent communication skills
Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
Experience working alongside CPAs and tax professionals preferred

Requirements

Must maintain strict confidentiality
Must be available for scheduled monthly virtual meetings
Must be responsive to email and communication requests
Must have reliable internet and computer access
Must be able to explain financial reports in a clear and understandable manner

Compensation

Flat monthly rate based on experience and qualifications.
