Full Job Description

ABOUT US:

A locally owned Santa Barbara pool service business is seeking employees! We have provided commercial and residential customers comprehensive pool, spa, and fountain service for over 35 years.

ABOUT THE POSITION:

We are currently looking for hardworking, responsible individuals to service and maintain commercial and residential swimming pools. Experience with pond maintenance is a plus but not required. We are currently looking to fill both part-time and full-time positions, Monday through Friday. We can accommodate college student schedules.

The ideal candidate needs to be a motivated self-starter. Experience preferred, but we will train the right person. Job duties require driving to customer’s properties, maintaining and servicing pools, fountains, and spas. Maintenance will include brushing tile, removing debris with a net and/or pool vacuum, emptying skimmer and pump baskets, testing water chemistry and adding chemicals as needed.

During each service visit, the candidate must document chemistry readings and chemical quantities added on the customer log. Must be able to lift 50lbs. Must have a valid drivers license, current insurance, and clean driving record.

If candidate has no prior experience, training pay is $18hr. After training, starting pay is $20 per hour to start, more for experienced candidates.

APPLICANT REQUIREMENTS:

We are seeking an active and energetic individual that is self-motivated and can work independently.
Must be a problem solver and able to communicate well with customers, coworkers and supervisors.
Reliable vehicle (a plus, but not required) with a valid CA driver's license (required)
Able to represent the company in a professional, courteous manner
Develop and maintain customer relationships
Ability to lift 50 LBS.
Read and speak English for safe chemical handling and proper communication.

Previous experience is preferred but is not required:

Knowledge of commercial and residential pool systems
Knowledge of DE, sand cartridge filters and their operation
Knowledge of swimming pool plumbing
Knowledge of pool repairs (pump or pump seal replacement, filter repairs, heater repairs, etc)
Pool automation systems/equipment. Jandy and Pentair equipment knowledge a plus. (backwash, chemical controllers/pumps, etc)

Pay: $18.00 - $25.00 per hour
