Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Tax Manager for a full-time, direct hire opportunity in Santa Ynez, CA. This role is ideal for a tax professional with strong technical knowledge, client service skills, and the ability to lead tax compliance, planning, and advisory work across a diverse client base.

The Tax Manager will oversee complex tax filings, support proactive tax planning strategies, mentor staff, and serve as a trusted resource for clients and internal teams. Key Responsibilities

Manage the preparation and review of individual, business, trust, nonprofit, partnership, corporate, and fiduciary tax returns.

Develop proactive tax planning strategies to help clients reduce tax exposure and make informed financial decisions.
Research complex tax issues, monitor legislative and regulatory changes, and provide clear recommendations to clients and internal teams.
Coordinate responses to tax notices, examinations, and audits while serving as a key tax resource.
Review staff work, provide technical guidance, support mentorship, and contribute to tax department process improvements.

Compensation and Benefits

Salary range: $80,000 to $120,000 per year.
