Compensation: $85,000 base salary plus recruitment and retention bonuses
Position Summary
Solomon Medical is seeking a driven and resourceful In-House Healthcare Recruiter to take ownership of full-cycle recruitment for clinical and administrative positions throughout Monterey County and the greater Bay Area.
This is a hands-on opportunity for an ambitious recruiter who enjoys building relationships, finding hard-to-reach candidates, and creating momentum. The successful candidate will manage searches from initial sourcing through accepted offer while helping strengthen our recruiting processes, candidate pipelines, and employer presence as Solomon Medical continues to grow.
This position is well suited to someone who wants meaningful responsibility, direct access to organizational leadership, and the opportunity to grow alongside an expanding healthcare practice.
In addition to leading recruitment, this individual will provide administrative coordination in support of hiring, onboarding, credentialing, personnel documentation, and other workforce-related projects.
Candidates must live within reasonable driving distance of Solomon Medical's service areas in Monterey County and the greater Bay Area. A centrally located home base between these regions is ideal, but residence in Monterey itself is not required. This position combines remote work with regular in-person meetings, recruiting events, and travel to Solomon Medical facilities and partner locations.
Key Responsibilities
- Own the full recruiting cycle, including intake meetings, job postings, proactive sourcing, candidate outreach, screening, interview coordination, offers, and hiring follow-through.
- Recruit physicians, advanced practice providers, other clinical professionals, and non-clinical and administrative employees.
- Build and maintain active pipelines for current and anticipated hiring needs.
- Proactively identify and engage passive candidates through job boards, professional networks, referrals, social media, schools, and direct outreach.
- Develop relationships with healthcare training programs, universities, professional organizations, community partners, and other candidate sources.
- Partner closely with leadership and hiring managers to understand staffing priorities, define candidate profiles, and provide timely updates on recruiting activity.
- Represent Solomon Medical professionally at job fairs, networking opportunities, school events, and other recruiting activities.
- Track candidates, recruiting activity, and hiring outcomes accurately in the applicant tracking system.
- Identify recruiting challenges and recommend new sourcing strategies, tools, and process improvements.
- Support new-hire onboarding, credentialing kickoff, licensure and document collection, and personnel record tracking.
- Maintain organized, accurate, and confidential applicant and employee information.
- Help strengthen Solomon Medical's employer brand and ensure candidates receive timely, professional communication throughout the hiring process.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree required; master's degree preferred.
- At least two years of healthcare recruiting experience, with demonstrated success moving candidates from initial contact through accepted offer.
- Experience recruiting clinical providers and non-clinical or administrative employees, including hard-to-fill positions.Strong proactive-sourcing skills and confidence engaging passive candidates.
- Proactive, resourceful, and self-directed approach, with the ability to take ownership, set priorities, and move searches forward with limited day-to-day supervision.
- Persistence, sound judgment, and the ability to adapt when an initial recruiting strategy is not producing results.
- Excellent communication, relationship-building, organization, and follow-through.
- Experience using applicant tracking systems, job boards, social media, and candidate-sourcing tools.
- Ability to manage multiple open positions and competing priorities while maintaining accurate records and responsive candidate communication.
- Residence within reasonable driving distance of Monterey County and the greater Bay Area, with the ability to travel regularly throughout Solomon Medical's service areas.
- Valid California driver's license and reliable transportation.
