Job Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Janitorial Supervisor to oversee cleaning operations at our Parks & Recreation facilities. This energetic leader will coordinate and supervise custodial staff, ensuring all areas are maintained to the highest standards of cleanliness, sanitation, and safety. The ideal candidate will possess strong team management skills, a keen eye for detail, and a passion for creating welcoming, hygienic environments for community members to enjoy. This role offers an exciting opportunity to lead a vital service that enhances the quality of public recreational spaces while fostering a positive and productive team atmosphere.

Responsibilities

Supervise and coordinate daily cleaning and sanitation activities across multiple parks and recreation facilities, including restrooms, gyms, community centers, and outdoor spaces.
Lead, motivate, and evaluate custodial staff to ensure high-quality performance and adherence to safety regulations.
Develop cleaning schedules and protocols aligned with industry standards for industrial, commercial, and hospitality cleaning environments.
Monitor inventory levels of cleaning supplies and equipment; place orders as needed to maintain operational efficiency.
Conduct regular inspections to ensure compliance with sanitation standards, safety procedures, and cleanliness expectations.
Train staff on proper cleaning techniques, safety regulations, and the use of cleaning equipment to promote a safe working environment.
Address customer service inquiries from facility users regarding cleanliness or safety concerns promptly and professionally.

Experience

Proven supervisory experience in custodial or janitorial services within industrial, commercial, or hospitality settings.
Strong background in cleaning methods including industrial cleaning, sanitation practices, and housekeeping management.
Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to manage teams effectively and communicate clearly with staff at all levels.
Experience in managing cleaning & sanitation operations in public or recreational facilities preferred.
Knowledge of safety regulations related to cleaning chemicals, equipment use, and workplace safety standards.
Prior experience with laundry services or related custodial tasks is advantageous but not mandatory.
Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
