Job Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Sous Chef to join our vibrant culinary team. In this pivotal role, you will assist the Executive Chef in overseeing daily kitchen operations, ensuring the highest standards of food quality, safety, and presentation. Your leadership will inspire our culinary staff to deliver exceptional dining experiences across fine dining, catering, and banquet services. This position offers an exciting opportunity to showcase your culinary expertise, manage food production processes, and elevate our restaurant’s reputation through innovative menu planning and efficient kitchen management.

Responsibilities

Support the Executive Chef in supervising all kitchen activities, including food preparation, cooking, and plating to meet quality standards.
Lead and motivate culinary team members, fostering a positive environment focused on teamwork, safety, and continuous improvement.
Oversee inventory management and control to ensure optimal stock levels while minimizing waste; conduct regular stock checks and coordinate with suppliers.
Assist in menu planning by developing creative dishes that align with restaurant concepts and customer preferences.
Ensure strict adherence to food safety regulations and sanitation standards across all kitchen operations.
Manage shift schedules, delegate tasks efficiently, and monitor workflow to maintain smooth service during busy periods.
Coordinate with catering and banquet departments to deliver flawless event execution, including special dietary requirements and presentation standards.

Experience

Proven experience in a supervisory or leadership role within a high-volume restaurant or catering environment.
Extensive culinary background with strong skills in food production, food handling, and cooking techniques.
Prior experience in fine dining establishments or upscale hospitality settings is highly desirable.
Familiarity with inventory management systems, food safety protocols, and kitchen management software.
Demonstrated ability to lead a team effectively while maintaining high standards of quality and service excellence.
Knowledge of dietary accommodations, menu planning, and catering operations enhances your suitability for this role.
