Nakoma Resort is a family friendly destination in the heart of the beautiful Lost Sierra. We work hard and then we play hard in this incredible outdoor recreation paradise. Mountain biking, hiking, swimming in alpine lakes or fishing in the endless rivers and streams is on each day’s after-work playlist. Winter is equally magical with endless backcountry and XC skiing, snowshoeing and snowmobiling in the surrounding mountains.

KITCHEN STAFF

DISHWASHERS, PREP COOKS, LINE COOKS, KITCHEN LEADS

Job Summary: The purpose of the position is to prepare exceptional menu items for resort guests and Members. Be willing to execute the menu, ensuring a high level of performance, guest satisfaction and profitability. Guest satisfaction revolves around the food appearance, high quality of the food and overall dining experience.

Job Responsibilities (Will vary with position):
1. Must get along well with others;
2. Prepare food, produce food consistently with high quality, taste and presentation and expedite during peak meal periods as needed;
3. Use the proper methods of food preparation and handling, and handling leftover food items;
4. Strict adherence to health department sanitation and food handling guidelines;
5. Utilize kitchen tools and equipment as designed, ensuring safety at all times;
6. Take direction from a variety of supervisors and respond to input quickly and with enthusiasm;
7. Interact positively with Front of House staff, creating a cooperative environment;
8. Perform other duties as assigned.

Interpersonal skills: Strong organizational, problem solving and analytical skills. Ability to work independently and as a member of a team. Strong interpersonal skills. Ability to deal effectively with diverse groups of individuals. Commitment to professionalism and high standards.

Technical requirements: Knowledge of hospitality. Attention to detail is critical. Ability to collect complex information and assist with interpretation and decision making.

Physical Demands: The essential functions of the position may require constant standing with some walking, repetitive use of both hands, grasping with dominant hand, finger dexterity in both hands, near/far visual acuity, depth perception, field of vision accommodation and color vision; ability to speak and hear; requires bending, walking, standing lifting/carrying of up to 35 lbs. and occasionally lift/move 50 lbs., light grasping with non-dominant hand, firm/strong grasping with both hands; reaching with hands and arms, crouching, kneeling, climbing, balancing, pushing/pulling.
