Full Job Description

What you will do:

· Operates front-end loaders, skid steers, excavators, crushers and screening units as required.

· Performs routine inspection and maintenance on vehicles such as checking oil, water, and tires.

· Operates water trucks and roll off trucks as required.

· Operates various equipment for general site preparation and related assignments.

· Ensures proper care in the use and maintenance of equipment and supplies; promotes continuous improvement of workplace safety and environmental practices.

· Will maintain a safe working environment, adhere to safety policies and practices, perform daily housekeeping of assigned area, perform daily workplace inspections, adhere to plant policies.

· Should be familiar or willing to be trained on MSHA safety rules, safety procedures for plant mobile equipment, lockout/tagout policy, confined spaces policy, hot work policy, lubricants, paints/solvents and other environmentally sensitive materials.

· Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.

Experience and abilities you will need:

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:

· Ability to operate heavy equipment.

· Knowledge of light and heavy equipment operation and maintenance.

· Ability to use hand and power tools applicable to trade.

· Knowledge of basic vehicle inspection and maintenance including tire pressure, checking oil and water levels.

· Task training required for each type of equipment operated.

· Ability to read, understand, follow, and enforce safety procedures.

Will work where and when needed as directed by plant supervisor to meet plant needs.

Minimum Requirements:

· Valid Driver’s License

· High school diploma or GED; at least 1 year of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.
