Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Kitchen Supervisor to lead our culinary team in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in kitchen management and culinary arts, with a passion for food safety and quality. This role involves overseeing daily kitchen operations, ensuring that all food is prepared to the highest standards, and maintaining a positive working environment for staff.

Responsibilities

Supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance and support to ensure efficient operations.
Manage daily kitchen activities, including food preparation, cooking, and presentation.
Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain cleanliness in the kitchen area.
Assist in menu planning and development, incorporating seasonal ingredients and customer preferences.
Train new kitchen staff on cooking techniques, safety protocols, and equipment usage.
Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed.
Collaborate with the dietary department to accommodate special dietary needs for guests.
Lead by example during service periods, ensuring high-quality food production and presentation.
Conduct regular inspections of kitchen equipment and facilities to ensure proper functioning.

Qualifications

Proven experience in supervising kitchen staff or managing kitchen operations in a restaurant or banquet setting.
Strong culinary skills with the ability to cook a variety of dishes from different cuisines.
Knowledge of food safety standards and best practices in a culinary environment.
Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
Strong leadership abilities with experience in shift management and team motivation.
Familiarity with restaurant management software is a plus but not required.
A passion for culinary arts and commitment to delivering exceptional dining experiences.
