Full Job Description

Position Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented Cable Assembler to join our team. In this role, you will assemble, route, and test wire harnesses, cable assemblies, and electrical components used in aviation or airport systems. Candidates must have a minimum of two (2) years of conduit installation and bending experience, along with hands-on electrical assembly experience.

You'll work from schematics and production documents to build high-quality assemblies that meet strict safety and performance standards. This is a great opportunity for someone with hands-on assembly experience looking to grow in a technical manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

Read and follow wiring diagrams, schematics, and assembly instructions.
Assemble cable harnesses and subassemblies using proper tools and techniques.
Cut, strip, crimp, route, solder, and terminate wires to specification.
Install, route, and secure conduit while ensuring proper alignment and compliance with specifications.
Bend and fabricate conduit as required for electrical installations.
Label and track assemblies to ensure accuracy and traceability.
Perform continuity testing and basic electrical checks.
Inspect completed work to ensure quality and compliance with standards.
Troubleshoot wiring issues and perform rework as needed.
Package completed assemblies for shipment or installation.
Maintain accurate documentation of work completed.
Follow all safety procedures, including PPE and ESD requirements.

Required Qualifications

High school diploma or GED.
Minimum of two (2) years of conduit installation, bending, and routing experience.
At least 6 months of kitting or assembly experience.
Basic experience with electrical or mechanical assembly (wiring, crimping, routing, or soldering).
Ability to read and understand basic wiring diagrams, schematics, and assembly instructions.
Experience using hand tools such as wire strippers, crimpers, pliers, conduit benders, and electrical testers.
Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity.
Ability to distinguish color-coded wiring.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and perform physical tasks such as standing, bending, reaching, and repetitive hand movements.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in cable assembly, wire harnessing, or electrical assembly.
Background in aerospace, aviation, or manufacturing environments.
Familiarity with IPC/WHMA-A-620 standards.
Technical or vocational training in electronics, electrical systems, or wiring.
Basic computer skills for logging work orders and test results.

Work Environment

Manufacturing or hangar setting.
Exposure to moderate noise, dust, and production activity.
Use of safety equipment such as safety glasses, gloves, and hearing protection.
Frequent standing and repetitive hand movements required.
