SUMMARY

The Settlement Officer will facilitate the execution of all documents necessary to close a transaction and issue a final policy. This position requires the employee to maintain and build a strong relationship with our customers. This position will also include additional duties in line with that of a Construction Assistant.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Maintains and builds a good working relationship with all realtors and builder customers, lenders, settlement coordinators, and account executives.
Facilitates the preparation of broker and settlement packages on behalf of the Company.
Responsible for getting final numbers to all customers in advance of the closing that is satisfactory to the clients.
Facilitates closings on behalf of the Company.
Fulfills the title requirements for issuance of a final policy.
Responsible for the review and adherence to lender instructions and draft instructions.
Review documents in closed package to be certain all documents are properly executed, dated, notarized and witnessed, and forwarded to the appropriate authority.
Ensures that closed files organization fits the guidelines as set forth by the manager.
Forward payoffs and any bills for payment to appropriate party.
Processing construction draws
Reviewing sworn statements and waivers
Emailing construction endorsement to lender

QUALIFICATIONS

1-3 years of relevant experience
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be professional, proactive and positive with internal and external customers and coworkers. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Ability to use fractions, percentages and ratios to calculate commissions, tax pro-rations and costs associated with a closing transaction.
Ability to work well under pressure and to remain flexible to changing schedules and demands.

Good verbal and written skills.
Proven organizational skills.
Good presentation skills.
Maintains high level of professionalism in dress and demeanor.
Resident Agent License may be required. If so, details and timeline will be discussed at a later date.
