Full Job Description

SolidWorks CAD Drafter – Full-Time

We need a SolidWorks CAD Drafter to prepare a wide variety of drawings according to assignments received. Breaks down information obtained from specifications and shows necessary detail, section views, and dimensions. Prepares bills of materials and specifications when drawings are complete. The duties are:

Create drawings in CAD SolidWorks.
Create parts lists and process changes required by ECN’s (Engineering Change Notices) and enter new parts on the Bills of Materials.
Modify existing drawings and create new drawings for shop orders and pilots using either SolidWorks CAD or AutoCAD.
Insure correctness of proportions, accuracy of calculations, showing all necessary details, section views and dimensions.
Performs other duties as may be assigned.

Requires the ability to read diagrams, procedures, drawings, bill of materials, follow instructions and familiarity with using 3D SolidWorks and AutoCAD. Must be well organized, detail oriented, and follow instructions. Must pass pre-employment math and reading tests, and drug screen and background check.

We are conveniently located in Des Plaines, a few miles northwest of O’Hare Airport.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $22.00 - $24.00 per hour
