This is a part-time position with a maximum of 1,508 hours per year and is not eligible for paid holidays, leave, or benefits.
Job Description
This Part-time Clerk is responsible for provide front-line customer service responding to phone calls and emails from public with professional, timely, and courteous communication. In addition, will be responsible for performing a variety of basic clerical office functions, which may include updating spreadsheets, creating simple documents, typing, filing, copying, faxing, opening, sorting, and distributing mail, and/or performing other related activities. The ideal candidate will need a thorough understanding of the assigned area, and be flexible, all while providing exceptional customer service and working well under pressure.
Essential Duties-
Conducting tours of the senior center

Operating computers and applicable software

Tracking participation numbers for the senior center activities

Checking in on seniors for lunch

Scheduling transportation for the senior center participants

Interacting with co-workers, supervisor, the general public, etc. to provide sufficient information and receive work direction

Processing payments and registrations for classes/activities

Interacting with senior center participants and volunteers
Public Speaking Duties-
Making announcements to large groups

Providing information about services to the general public

Salary will be $15.75 per hour
Minimum Qualifications

High School diploma or GED AND

One year of general office/customer service experience

An equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed above will also be considered.
