Full Job Description

Guido’s Fresh Marketplace is looking to hire an Accounting Administrative Assistant to join our team in our Pittsfield office! This role provides administrative and accounting support by assisting with daily sales processing, Accounts Payable, deposits, reporting, vendor inquiries, and other general office responsibilities.

This position is primarily based in our Pittsfield office, with occasional travel to our Great Barrington location as needed. We are looking for someone who is detail-oriented, organized, comfortable working with numbers and spreadsheets, and able to support a variety of accounting and administrative tasks. Weekend availability may be needed occasionally.

Position Overview: Performs tasks required for an accurate accounting system for entire company. Responsible for maintaining and updating accounting records with minimal supervision and direction. Manages office tasks and basic financial duties and provides administrative support for business wide needs. This is a full-time position.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Set up daily cash register drawers and process the daily store deposit
Process daily retail sales and maintain related spreadsheets
Review companywide Accounts Payable invoices for accuracy and enter them into the accounting system
Research vendor statements, phone inquiries, and account discrepancies
Track, calculate, and compile reports for entry into the general ledger accounting system
Process online gift card orders
Answer telephone calls in accordance with established company procedures
Perform a variety of computer and administrative functions in support of assigned responsibilities
Maintain strict confidentiality of customer and company information

Qualifications/Requirements

General knowledge of accounting principles and practices
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
Strong organizational and time management skills
Ability to work effectively in a team environment
Strong customer service, communication, and telephone skills
Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel
Reliable transportation
Ability to work primarily from the Pittsfield office and travel to the Great Barrington location as needed
Weekend availability as needed

Up to $27.50/hour, commensurate with experience
