Overview

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Legal Secretary to join our team. This role involves providing comprehensive administrative support to attorneys and legal professionals, ensuring smooth operations within a fast-paced law office environment. The ideal candidate will demonstrate exceptional organizational skills, strong analytic capabilities, and the ability to learn legal terminology and procedures. Responsibilities

Manage and organize legal documents, files, and correspondence
Draft, review, and proofread documents, including correspondence with precision and clarity
Assist with paralegal duties such as preparing discovery requests, subpoenas, and affidavits
Maintain accurate filing systems both electronically and physically, ensuring compliance with confidentiality standards
Support attorneys in scheduling appointments, court dates, and meetings while coordinating logistics efficiently
Provide exceptional customer service by addressing client inquiries professionally and promptly
Proofread all outgoing documents to ensure accuracy in spelling, grammar, and legal terminology

Skills

Strong analysis skills with the ability to interpret complex legal information effectively
Prior paralegal or legal administrative experience in a law office setting preferred
Excellent writing skills for creating clear, concise documents
Understanding of legal terminology, procedures, and filing protocols preferred but not required
Exceptional proofreading abilities to maintain high-quality documentation standards
Technical proficiency with office software (Microsoft Office Suite)
Well-developed organizational skills to manage multiple priorities efficiently
Proven ability to deliver outstanding customer service in a professional environment
Experience with legal administrative tasks such as scheduling, document management, and file organization
