Summary:
Provides technical support for basic and advanced procedures.
Responsibilities:

Assists providers in Advanced Endoscopy procedures which may include: TIF, POEM, Minor OR procedures, X-tach, ESD, EMR, Esophogeal or Colon Stent Placement, Spyglass and EHL, RFA, Cryo.

Handles instruments, supplies, and equipment during the procedure.

Communicates regarding specimen labeling, and routes for appropriate processing.

Completes Point of Use cleaning for scopes. Routes for and/or completes scopes maintenance, care, disinfection/sterilization.

Within scope of job, requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgement and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and take appropriate action.
Requirements:

Education: High School diploma or GED.

Licensure/Certification: Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider.
Minimum Experience: 1 year as an endoscopy technician, surgical tech or related. -
BLS through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer with card in-hand before start date. BLS or CPR card must be good through sixty days of hire.
