Full Job Description

Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Certified Caregiver to provide exceptional support and assistance to residents in various care settings. The ideal candidate will have experience in senior care, assisted living, or home & community care, with a strong commitment to enhancing the quality of life for individuals with diverse needs. This role offers an opportunity to work in a supportive environment where your caregiving skills directly impact residents' well-being and independence.

Duties

Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
Monitor vital signs and observe for any changes in health status
Provide specialized care for residents with dementia, Alzheimer's, or other memory-related conditions
Support residents with mobility using Hoyer lifts or other assistive devices as needed
Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary requirements and assist with feeding when necessary
Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing light housekeeping tasks
Engage residents in social activities and provide emotional support to promote mental well-being
Document care provided and communicate effectively with healthcare teams, families, and other staff members

Requirements

Valid certification as a caregiver required
Valid Fingerprint clearance card
Must be able to pass a background check.
Valid, in-person, CPR certification
First aid certificate
Experience in long-term care, assisted living, nursing homes, or home & community care settings
Knowledge of dementia, Alzheimer's, and memory care techniques
Ability to assist with ADLs and perform personal care tasks with compassion and professionalism
Experience working with people with disabilities or developmental disabilities is a plus
Proficiency in vital signs measurement, medication administration, and basic first aid skills
Familiarity with EMR systems for documentation purposes
Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team
