The International Operations Coordinator is responsible for supporting the execution of Alamance Foods' international business through the coordination of export documentation, international shipment requirements, product registration support, customer documentation requests, and cross-functional operational activities.
This role serves as the primary documentation and operational support resource for the Global Sales division and works closely with customers, distributors, customs brokers, freight forwarders, Compliance, Quality, Logistics, Warehouse, and Production teams to ensure timely and accurate execution of international business requirements.
The position supports customers, distributors, brokers, and regulatory stakeholders across North America, Latin America, the Caribbean, Europe, Asia, and other international markets. The role also provides backup support for international order execution activities as needed.

Prepare, review, and coordinate export documentation for international shipments.

Manage Commercial Invoices, Packing Lists, Bills of Lading, Certificates of Origin, Certificates of Free Sale, Health Certificates, USDA documentation, and customer-specific documentation requirements.

Ensure documentation accuracy and compliance with destination-country requirements.

Maintain documentation records and country-specific documentation requirements.

Coordinate documentation requests with freight forwarders, customs brokers, customers, and internal stakeholders.

Coordinate documentation packages required for international product registrations and market entry activities.
-
Collect, organize, and maintain supporting documentation requested by customers, distributors, brokers, and government agencies.

Track registration-related documentation requests, timelines, and approvals.
-
Partner with Compliance, Quality, and Regulatory teams to obtain required supporting documentation.

Coordinate documentation required for international sample shipments.

Work with freight forwarders, customs brokers, and internal teams to support sample import requirements.
-
Support documentation associated with customer evaluations, product approvals, and registration submissions.

Support the execution of international shipments from order release through shipment completion.

Coordinate shipment readiness activities with Logistics, Warehouse, Quality Assurance, Compliance, and Production teams.

Assist in resolving documentation discrepancies, customs issues, shipment delays, and customer inquiries.

Support commercial shipments, sample shipments, and special international projects.

Serve as an operational point of contact for international customers regarding documentation and shipment-related inquiries.

Provide back-up support for international order execution and customer service activities as needed.

Support Global Sales initiatives and special projects.

Collaborate with Global Sales, Compliance, Quality Assurance, Logistics, Production, Warehouse, Finance, and external partners to ensure successful execution of international business activities.

Maintain strong working relationships with customs brokers, freight forwarders, regulatory agencies, and international customers.

Bachelor's degree preferred in Business, International Trade, Supply Chain, Logistics, International Business, or a related field.

Minimum 2 years of experience in international operations, export documentation, international logistics, trade support, customer service, or related functions.

Experience working with export documentation and international shipment requirements.

Experience coordinating with freight forwarders, customs brokers, and international customers.

Fluent in English and Spanish (written and verbal).
-
Ability to communicate professionally with international customers, distributors, brokers, freight forwarders, and government agencies in both English and Spanish.

Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Excellent attention to detail.

Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ERP systems.

Strong customer service and relationship management skills.

Ability to work effectively across multiple departments and external business partners.

Experience in food manufacturing, consumer packaged goods, or regulated industries.

Experience with USDA export documentation, Certificates of Origin, Certificates of Free Sale, Health Certificates, and other international trade documentation.

Experience supporting international product registrations and regulatory documentation requests.

Experience working with international sample shipments and customs requirements.
