Job Type: Full-time Work Location: In person — Greenville, NC Pay: $16.00 – $23.00 per hour. Starting pay is based on experience; advancement within this range is tied to IICRC certification, which the company funds.

Job description: Revitalife Contents Recovery + Restoration is a Christian-based disaster restoration company serving Eastern North Carolina, and we are hiring Mitigation Technicians who are looking for more than their next job. Restoration is a trade — one with real skills, recognized certifications, and long-term earning potential — and we build careers in it deliberately. Every technician here follows a written advancement path from Technician to Crew Lead, with company-funded IICRC certification and pay increases tied to demonstrated skill rather than tenure alone. The work itself is demanding. Technicians respond to water, fire, and smoke emergencies in challenging conditions and play a vital part in restoring safety and peace to families and businesses in our community. We serve as a preferred vendor to insurance providers and hold our job sites, our documentation, and our conduct to a professional standard.

Work Environment: Technicians should expect varied and at times demanding conditions, including heat, cold, moisture, mold, dust, and confined spaces such as crawlspaces and attics. Candidates should weigh this honestly; those who thrive in this field find the work meaningful and the skill set highly valuable.

Key Responsibilities:

Respond promptly to emergency losses (water, fire, smoke)
Assess damages, measure, and apply industry-standard restoration methods
Perform water extraction using commercial equipment
Perform selective demolition (carpet, drywall, cabinetry, and similar materials)
Take moisture readings and place drying equipment per drying plan
Clean, maintain, and account for company equipment
Adhere to all safety procedures and maintain clean, professional job sites

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent
Ability to pass a background check and drug screening
Valid driver's license with a clean MVR and reliable transportation
Availability for a rotating after-hours/on-call schedule, including some holidays
Ability to pass a PPE fit test, lift 50+ lbs, and work in confined or elevated spaces
Fluent in English; Spanish proficiency is a plus

Prior restoration experience and IICRC certification are preferred but not required — we train and certify.
