We’re Hiring A Digital Producer
As a Digital Producer, you own the full production lifecycle – from the first scoping conversation to final delivery. You run the day-to-day: prioritizing tasks, anticipating bottlenecks, and keeping creative and technical teams aligned and moving. Some Things You’ll Need In This Position
Proven Experience
You bring 4–8 years of production or project management experience at a marketing agency, creative studio, or fast-paced in-house team, with a track record of shipping complex websites, apps, and creative work on time and on budget. When you send your resume or walk us through your work, we’ll want to see specifics. Come ready to talk about:
- A complex website or app launch you produced end-to-end – what the scope was, the timeline and budget you managed to, and your role in leading it.
- A project that went sideways – a blown deadline, a budget overrun, a scope explosion – and how you diagnosed it, communicated it, and brought it back.
- How you’ve managed a full slate of concurrent projects without letting any of them slip through the cracks.
- A moment you had to deliver difficult news to a client or push back internally, and how you handled it.
- The tools and systems you rely on to stay organized – and how you’ve improved a team’s process instead of just working within one.
Excellent Communication Skills
You’ll be the project leader in a visible role to both the client and the internal team. Knowing how to speak their language – and ours – is critical. From translating client feedback into actionable direction, managing expectations when timelines or scope shift, to explaining the functionality of admin tools, excellent communication skills are absolutely required.
A Creative Advocate
Blue Ion is a design-led agency. While you won’t be designing websites or apps yourself, you’ll help shape those end products – and that means having a real point of view and developing fresh ideas, both collaboratively and on your own.
We don’t expect you to be a UX professional, but you should understand the fundamentals of how good digital experiences come together – things like information architecture and sitemaps, wireframing, user flows, and the difference between a design that looks good and one that actually works for the people using it. Enough fluency to ask the right questions, give designers and developers useful direction, and spot when something’s off before it reaches the client. You’re a translator and a partner in the work, never just a middle-person passing files between teams.
A Zeal for Project Management
You eat, sleep, and dream organization. You recognize the art of moving a project from concept to completion, and being the person who helped make it happen. And rather than jumping from task to task, you have the ability to prioritize, focus, and crush a heavy workload.
AI Curious
You’ve moved past the novelty. You use AI tools as a natural extension of your creative process to research faster, pressure-test ideas, draft and iterate more efficiently, and push your output further than time alone would allow. You know which tools to reach for and when, and more importantly, you know when to put them down. You bring a point of view on how AI can support various workflows, and you’re curious enough to stay ahead of what’s coming next.

Hybrid and Remote Work
This is an in-person role, with candidates required to live or relocate to the Charleston or Greenville region. In Charleston, we work from our creative studio in historic downtown. In Greenville, the team collaborates at the ATLO cowork space.
For both locations, we are operating under a hybrid approach of 2 days a week in the office, and increasing to 3 in 2026. We believe this is an ideal mix of in-person connection and collaboration, while offering the flexibility to manage a work from home or remote schedule.
