Northwest Primary Care is looking to hire a Certified Medical Assistant at our Northwest Integrated Care location. This is a full-time position.

Job description:
Northwest Integrated Care is dedicated to providing top-quality care to the patients of Northwest Primary Care. We offer preventative services as well as chronic disease support in a calm and inviting ancillary setting. As a Certified Medical Assistant employed at Northwest Integrated Care you will:

Assist with screenings and treatments by gathering and updating information related to health maintenance, identifying medication changes, updating allergy information, collecting specimens, performing tests, and documenting patient care.
Monitor and communicate changes in patient condition.
Maintain equipment, medical supplies, and examination areas.
Perform administrative/clerical duties, such as filing, reception, scheduling, data entry, and patient registration.
Assist with outreach to ensure preventative services and quality related exams are completed.
Understand and support the office’s HIPAA privacy practices. Maintain strict confidentiality.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Graduate from an approved Medical Assisting Program
Medical Assisting Certification
1-2 years experience as a medical assistant in a clinical setting
Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or the American Red Cross upon or within new hire period

PERFORMANCE REQUIREMENTS:
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Knowledge of medical assistant theory and practice to provide and evaluate patient care.
Knowledge or organizational policies, regulations, and procedures to administer patient care.
Knowledge of medical equipment and instruments to administer patient care.
Knowledge of common safety hazards and precautions to maintain a safe working environment.
Skill in applying and modifying the principles, methods, and techniques of a medical assistant to provide on-going patient care.
Skill in identifying problems and recommending solutions.
Skill in assisting with a variety of treatments and medications as directed.
Skill in developing and maintaining department quality assurance/measures.
Skill in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with patients, medical staff, and the public.
Ability to react calmly and effectively in emergent situations.
Ability to read, understand, and respond to detailed oral and written instructions.
Ability to communicate clearly with competency in language, grammar, and spelling in both verbal and written form.
Basic computing skills including keyboarding and familiarity with Microsoft Windows.

Salary to commensurate with education, training, and experience.
