Job Overview

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Paralegal Assistant to assist the lead Estate Administration Paralegal. This person will also provide occasional support to the attorneys and other legal team when requested. In this vital role, you will support estate planning and probate processes, ensuring efficient management of estate cases from inception to completion. Your proactive approach and organizational skills will help streamline legal workflows, facilitate client communication, and maintain meticulous case documentation. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your legal support expertise within a collaborative environment dedicated to excellence.

Duties

Assist with estate administration tasks, including researching, preparing and reviewing legal documents related to wills, trusts, and probate proceedings
Manage case files
Support attorneys with drafting legal correspondence, pleadings and other documentation with precision and clarity
Correspondence with clients and professionals to gather necessary information for estate cases while maintaining confidentiality
Perform data entry, filing, and document review to facilitate smooth case progression

Skills

Proven office experience (prior paralegal or legal assistant history is not required)
Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple cases efficiently
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills for client interaction and internal collaboration
Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism
Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) for document creation and data management
Strong administrative skills including clerical experience, filing procedures, phone etiquette, and organizational abilities
High attention to detail
