As we deliver our ambitious 2030 Growth Strategy, we’re looking for a Process Operator, responsible for supporting our seed enhancement production process using seed technology processes meeting predetermined quality standards for internal and external customers.
Who We’re Looking For:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Minimum one year of production experience
- Basic Math (Ability to calculate percentages and use metric system)
- Forklift and pallet jack certified/experienced
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills required.
- Computer skills are preferred.
- Ability to work well with others in a collaborative team environment
- Excellent attendance is crucial for the team to achieve success

What You’ll Be Doing:
- Coat basic products Lettuce, Carrots, Tomatoes, and Onions) produced at production location to meet predetermined quality specifications.
- Coat specialty products (Tobacco and Flowers).
- Must be able to perform dry sizing and pesticide coating.
- Follow daily pelleting schedule by looking at schedule each night before going home to confirm seeds and orders are ready for next morning.
- Confirm daily work by looking at pelleting schedule first thing each day.
- Prepare for pelleting process by following procedures to check coding card with seed to assure proper seed is being processed.
- Make sure all equipment and seed tubs are cleaned to prevent seed contamination.
- Reports to pelleting foreman all equipment problems to prevent downtime.
- Weigh out all fungicides, colors, and other additives, while utilizing the proper safety double check and application procedures.
- Verify all dryer boxes and dryer trays are clean before seed transfer, following drying procedures.
- Understand seedsman ship and be consistently aware of product and watchful for contamination possibilities. Alert supervisor of any problems with seed, coating, recovery, etc.
- Maintains a safe work environment by using protective equipment to prevent personal injuries to themselves or to others working nearby.
- May be required to work in other aspects of production, work weekends, overtime holidays, and different shifts.
- Be able to use ISO work instruction for all processes or procedures that are performed.
- Report unsafe conditions or situations to supervisor immediately.
- Supports other departments as needed.

This is a site-based role located in Salinas, CA
Hourly Base Pay Range: $19.00 to $19.57.
This is an on-site position based at our Incotec site in Salinas, CA.
This range reflects the base pay the company expects to pay for this position. Actual compensation will be determined based on factors such as geographic location, experience, education, and skill level. Additional compensation, such as annual bonuses or other incentives, may be offered based on eligibility and company policies.
