Position Summary
LV Event Designs is seeking an experienced, highly organized and service-driven Event Manager to assist in the oversight of planning, coordination and on-site execution of weddings, corporate events, social events and other special events.
The Event Manager serves as a primary operational representative of LV Event Designs and is responsible for ensuring that every event is executed professionally, efficiently and in accordance with the company's standards of service and presentation.
This position requires strong leadership, excellent client and vendor communication, attention to detail and the ability to remain calm and make sound decisions in a fast-paced event environment.
The Event Manager will oversee the event from pre-event preparation and venue setup through guest service, food and beverage coordination and final breakdown.
Key Responsibilities
Client Relations & Event Coordination
- Serve as a professional representative of LV Event Designs when communicating with clients, venues and event partners.
- Review event details, timelines, floor plans, menus, staffing requirements and special client requests prior to each event.
- Understand the client's expectations and ensure that those expectations are communicated clearly to the event team.
- Maintain professional, courteous and responsive communication with clients before, during and following events.
- Anticipate potential issues and proactively develop solutions before they affect the guest experience.
- Protect the client's experience by resolving operational issues discreetly and professionally.
Vendor & Venue Relations
- Coordinate with venues, caterers, rental companies, florists, entertainment, production companies, photographers, transportation providers and other event vendors.
- Confirm vendor arrival times, setup requirements and event responsibilities.
- Ensure vendors follow established event timelines and venue requirements.
- Maintain positive and professional relationships with venue representatives and vendor partners.
- Communicate changes or operational concerns quickly to the appropriate parties.
Event Setup & Production
- Supervise and participate in event setup as required.
- Verify that tables, chairs, linens, décor, bars, catering stations, signage and other event elements are positioned according to approved plans.
- Review event spaces before guest arrival to ensure presentation meets LV Event Designs standards.
- Coordinate vendor load-in and installation schedules.
- Identify setup deficiencies and ensure corrections are made prior to the start of the event.
- Conduct a final event-space walkthrough before doors open or guests arrive.
Staff Management
- Lead event staff including servers, bartenders, captains, setup personnel and other temporary or contracted team members.
- Conduct pre-event staff meetings and communicate assignments, timelines, service expectations and event-specific requirements.
- Assign staff positions and responsibilities based on the needs of each event.
- Monitor employee appearance, professionalism, punctuality and performance.
- Adjust staffing assignments during events as operational needs change.
- Address performance or conduct issues professionally and report significant concerns to ownership.
- Maintain a respectful, organized and team-oriented working environment.
Food & Beverage Operations
- Coordinate food and beverage service with catering teams, chefs, bartenders and service staff.
- Review menus, service styles, dietary restrictions and special meal requirements.
- Monitor food presentation, timing and service standards.
- Ensure bars, beverage stations and service areas remain properly stocked and professionally presented.
- Coordinate cocktail hour, meal service, dessert, coffee service, late-night food and other scheduled F&B components.
- Monitor guest experience and respond quickly to service issues.
- Ensure food and beverage operations follow applicable sanitation, safety and responsible-service requirements.
Service & Hospitality Standards
The Event Manager is expected to establish and maintain LV Event Designs' standards of hospitality throughout every event.
This includes:
- Professional and polished staff appearance.
- Proper table and room presentation.
- Attentive and courteous guest interaction.
- Prompt clearing and maintenance of guest areas.
- Proper food and beverage service techniques.
- Clean and organized service areas.
- Discreet handling of guest concerns.
- Continuous monitoring of the overall guest experience.
The Event Manager should constantly evaluate the event from the perspective of the client and their guests and take corrective action whenever service or presentation falls below company standards.
Event Timeline Management
- Maintain awareness of the complete event timeline.
- Coordinate important transitions including guest arrival, cocktail hour, introductions, speeches, dinner service, entertainment, cake cutting, special presentations and event conclusion.
- Communicate timing changes to staff, vendors and appropriate client representatives.
- Work closely with entertainment and production teams to ensure smooth event transitions.
- Adjust operational plans when circumstances change while minimizing disruption to guests.
Event Breakdown & Closeout
- Supervise breakdown following the conclusion of the event.
- Coordinate vendor load-out and removal of equipment and materials.
- Ensure LV Event Designs equipment, supplies and property are accounted for.
- Verify that rental items are organized appropriately for return or pickup.
- Ensure event spaces, service areas and back-of-house areas are left clean and organized.
- Confirm that client belongings and personal items are properly secured or returned.
- Complete required event reports, incident reports and management notes.
- Communicate damages, missing inventory, vendor issues, staffing concerns or unusual incidents to management.
Event Manager Standards

Qualifications
Preferred candidates will have:
- 2+ years of experience in event management, hospitality, catering, luxury service or a related field.
- Previous experience supervising event or hospitality staff.
- Strong knowledge of event setup and service operations.
- Working knowledge of food and beverage service.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Ability to make decisions and solve problems under pressure.
- Strong attention to detail and presentation.
- Professional demeanor when interacting with clients and guests.
- Ability to work effectively with vendors, venues and outside contractors.
Experience with weddings, luxury social events and high-end hospitality is strongly preferred.
Physical & Scheduling Requirements
Event management is a physically active position. Candidates must be able to:
- Stand and walk for extended periods.
- Work extended event shifts when required.
- Assist with event setup and breakdown.
- Lift and move reasonable event equipment and supplies as appropriate to the position.
- Work evenings, weekends and holidays based on the company's event schedule.
- Travel locally to event venues and other locations as required.

At LV Event Designs, the Event Manager is the operational leader of the event.
The Event Manager is expected to understand the complete event, anticipate what needs to happen next, lead the staff confidently and ensure that the client and their guests experience a polished, organized and professionally executed event from arrival through final breakdown.

Pay: $65,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
