JOB TITLE: Senior Project Manager
REPORTS TO: Director of Construction
JOB SUMMARY: The Senior Project Manager is responsible for planning and delivering successful projects and building value added customer relationships.
Key performance objectives in order of priority with ideal time allocation are:
- Participate with the quarterly executive meetings and analyze its ongoing execution and outcomes of key initiatives -5%
- Serve as a mentor / leader among other project managers -5%
- Leading the daily execution of quality projects under budget and on schedule, while exceeding customer expectations -60%
- Developing lasting partnerships with customers for repeat business, sustainability, and influence -5%
- Networking and prospecting for new business opportunities that result in creating revenue through new markets and new customers -5%
Note: 20% of time is reserved for ancillary responsibilities, interruptions and unplanned events.

Interpersonal Responsibilities
- Coach and train field staff on technical knowledge and skills as well as personal competencies such as leadership, diplomacy, teamwork, and customer satisfaction. Identifies cross-training opportunities that link organizational goals with workforce development.
- Evaluate technical skills of field staff and assess overall readiness of workforce to fulfill project requirements.
- Share information and best practices with peers and assist with developing project design solutions, troubleshooting issues and serving as a sounding board
Operational Responsibilities
- Coordinate project estimating and design. Representative responsibilities include:
- Reviewing bid opportunities, interpreting scopes of work and project requirements, and determining the match with the company’s strategy and capabilities.
- Sourcing vendors and obtaining pricing from Purchasing.
- Creating development of proposals and RFP responses of assigned projects.
- Following up on open bids and assisting with contract negotiation.
- Serve as a customer’s first point of contact for addressing project-related questions, clarifying, and resolving project design issues, quality concerns or project delays
- Develop project plans, phases, and schedules; forwards project submittals, communicates project plans and schedule changes to customers and project team
- Complete monthly POC’s, as appropriate
- Attend monthly financial forecasting meetings prepared to review project financials
- Schedule and direct field staff and coordinate manpower between projects
- Oversee creation of As Built drawings and permit requests. Reviews drawings, project plans and documents for accuracy and submits to appropriate parties for approval
- Communicate project activities and oversee coordination of project details including equipment, tool and material delivery and services by power companies
- Participate in project meetings and monitor project status. Assist with coordinating project details, answering project team questions, troubleshooting, and resolving escalated issues
- Complete job set up for Accounting System (Deltek / Computer Ease)
- Review and approve customer / vendor invoices. Follows up and resolves disputed charges or late payment issues.
- Coordinate job closeout and oversee development and accuracy of owner’s manual and warranty letters.
- Review customer satisfaction reports and act on findings.
- Lead project post-mortem and assess outcomes, lessons learned, and continuous improvement opportunities.
- Coordinate customer service calls and ensure work orders are accurate and completed on time.
- Attend networking events and schedule sales calls in support of the company’s business development efforts.
- Develop and implement account management plans for building and maintaining relationships with current and past customers.
Organizational Responsibilities
- Assist with developing KES business plan. Project revenue, identify trends and market opportunities, resource requirements, and short-term priorities

Pay: $135,000.00 - $185,000.00 per year
