About the Position
Garden State Lights is hiring dependable, hardworking Christmas light installers for the upcoming holiday season.
We are a growing South Jersey company specializing in professional residential and commercial Christmas light installations. Last season, we completed approximately 100 installations, and we are expanding our installation team for another busy season.
This is a hands-on outdoor position involving ladders, rooflines, professional lighting equipment, and working in changing weather conditions. Previous Christmas light installation experience is helpful, but we are willing to train the right person who is reliable, comfortable with heights, and ready to work.
Responsibilities
- Install professional Christmas lights on homes and businesses
- Work safely from extension ladders and rooflines
- Install C9 roofline lights, wreaths, garland, ground lighting, tree wraps, and other decorations
- Measure, cut, clip, and install custom-fit lighting
- Troubleshoot and repair lighting when necessary
- Load and unload ladders, lights, and installation equipment
- Keep job sites clean, organized, and professional
- Assist with service calls during the season
- Remove and organize Christmas lights during January takedowns
- Treat customers and their properties with care and respect
Requirements
- Comfortable working on ladders and roofs
- Able to lift and carry approximately 50 pounds
- Able to work outdoors in cold and changing weather
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Dependable, punctual, and able to arrive ready to work
- Able to follow instructions and work efficiently with a crew
- Strong attention to detail
- Available during the busy season from October through January
- Willing to work some weekends and longer days during peak weeks
- Must take safety seriously
Preferred Experience
Experience in any of the following is helpful but not required:
- Christmas light installation
- Roofing
- Construction
- Landscaping
- Gutter installation or cleaning
- Exterior home services
- Ladder work
- Electrical or low-voltage lighting
