Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Dietary Aide to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in food service, food preparation, and dietary support within the nursing home settings. As a Dietary Aide, you will play a vital role in ensuring residents receive nutritious, well-prepared meals in a safe and hygienic environment. Your attention to detail, adherence to dietary requirements, and commitment to workplace safety will contribute significantly to the quality of care provided.

Duties

Assist with meal preparation and food service, ensuring timely delivery of nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs.
Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently while maintaining sanitation standards in accordance with food safety regulations.
Support food handling, cleaning, and sanitation procedures to uphold hygiene standards within the dietary department.
Serve meals to residents with professionalism and courtesy, ensuring excellent customer service.
Adhere strictly to dietary requirements and special diets prescribed by healthcare professionals or dietitians.
Follow safe lifting practices during heavy lifting tasks and manual handling activities to prevent injury.

Requirements

Knowledge of food production, meal preparation, and kitchen operations within a healthcare setting.
Familiarity with dietary department procedures, including adhering to dietary restrictions and nutrition guidelines.
Strong time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to work effectively with geriatric patients or residents requiring specialized dietary accommodations.
Physical ability to perform heavy lifting tasks safely and consistently follow safe lifting practices.
