Hours: 40 hrs/wk

Description

American Traveler is hiring an Ultrasound Technologist / Sonographer with 2+ years of experience and ARDMS certification to perform general and OB/GYN ultrasound procedures.

Details

Hospital-based Ultrasound department with a strong focus on female-related and OB/GYN scans
36/48 schedule rotating with one week of 3x12 shifts and the next week of 4x12 shifts, totaling 84 hours per two-week pay period
Day shift, Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-4:30 PM
On-call requirements of 2 shifts per week and 2 weekends per month
Float required within scope of practice
Performs general ultrasound imaging including abdominal, biliary, renal, small parts, and vascular studies
Performs OB/GYN scans including 1st, 2nd, and 3rd trimester studies, fetal anatomical survey, and amniotic fluid index
Performs ultrasound-guided biopsy and fine needle aspiration procedures
Uses GE Logiq ultrasound equipment and PACS imaging system
Meditech charting system experience preferred

Requirements

Minimum 2 years of experience in ultrasound/sonography required
ARDMS certification required
Active compact or state license in hand required at time of consideration (license required if applicable)
Experience with general ultrasound and biopsy procedures required
Teaching hospital, community hospital, and Trauma Level I/II experience preferred
Must be able to work in a fast-paced hospital setting with adult and pediatric patient populations
2 professional references required, including one from a charge nurse or higher and one from a supervisor, both completed within the last year
Valid driver's license required, with address matching permanent residence

Additional Information

Candidates must reside at least 75 miles from the facility to be considered; local candidates are not accepted
Facility will consider up to 7 days of RTO, which must be requested upfront with no changes accepted
Must work either a major or minor holiday during the assignment
Minimal traveler pairs accepted; pairs will not be scheduled on the same shift or unit
Travelers must take a minimum 6-month break from the system after completing a one-year assignment before becoming eligible to return
First-time travelers may be considered for this role
