Full Job Description

UPMC Touchstone Medical Imaging is coming soon to Cranberry Township, Pennsylvania! Our business provides cost-effective, convenient outpatient diagnostic imaging services. A joint venture partnership between UPMC and Touchstone Medical Imaging, the nationwide leader in outpatient imaging, offers comprehensive medical imaging in one location.

This position requires candidates to be an Advanced Practice Provider as a licensed Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner.

Schedule: Monday to Friday, daytime hours

Location: Cranberry Township, PA

Job Summary: The Center Manager is accountable for delivering high-quality, efficient and effective services for our imaging patients and families in a high complexity center(s). This position will oversee contrast administration as well. Creates a positive and collaborative work environment while supervising the daily activities, patient flow, operations, clinical procedures, and performance of center staff. Participates in short-term and long-range planning and business development.

Duties/Responsibilities:

Perform patient assessments and determine appropriateness for contrast administration in accordance with established protocols and applicable regulations.
Monitor patients receiving IV contrast.
Evaluate and manage contrast reactions and extravasations.
Document all contrast-related events, patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes.
Provide clinical decision-making and support regarding contrast administration and patient safety.

Manages center(s) within a single geographic area

Maintains positive working relationships with joint venture partnerships, if applicable
Acts as the owner of the P&L with responsibility for escalating issues and concerns
Develops, reviews, and implements action plans based on financial reporting to enhance center performance
Attends training to stay up to date on best practices and protocols
Implements and manages the training and onboarding program for new associates
Participates in the staff planning and hiring process for new associates
Leads regular team and department meetings and employee one-on-ones
Monitors and approves timecards on a daily or weekly basis
Leads, initiates, and participates in annual performance evaluations, development and performance management of associates
Establishes associate schedules to provide for planned time off, ensuring appropriate staffing levels and adequate coverage
Evaluates, implements, and manages workflow and process improvements for the department
Ensures the department has knowledge of company and department policies and corresponding procedures are in place
Supports employees ensuring highest level of patient satisfaction
Develops methods for measuring and monitoring team and department performance

Qualifications:

Master's degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program
Current unrestricted Pennsylvania licensure as a Nurse Practitioner (CRNP) or Physician Assistant (PA-C)
Current DEA registration if required for job duties
Current BLS and ACLS certification
At least 3 years of experience as a licensed Physician’s Assistant or Nurse Practitioner (Advanced Practitioner Provider)
Business management experience
Knowledge of financial acumen and ability to manage P&L
Graduate level education
Ability to take initiative to improve processes, think strategically and identify trends
Ability to provide open, honest feedback to improve decision making
Ability to influence across the organization and work effectively with all levels of management

and staff

Ability to maintain and build constructive relationships that produce results
Ability to effectively supervise exempt and non-exempt staff
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet established deadlines
Ability to be flexible in schedule and adaptable to constant change
Ability to effectively handle details with accuracy
Ability to deliver high quality customer service to internal and external customers by communicating with integrity and compassion

Physical Requirements:

Requires the use of office equipment, such as computers, fax machines, telephones and copiers
Requires computer related activities for extended periods of time
Requires the ability to see, hear, speak, write and key
